So you did try putting chrome://restart in the url tab
yes, didnt help
not even the controll buttons
you should look into the website permissions then, i cant really advise on operagx but this is how it looks on chrome
looks pretty much the same, i mean it could be opera sided but i didnt find anything on that
I don’t believe opera gx is officially supported and from what I’ve seen isn’t the most reliable
Weird that it would randomly break for you though
you should look on ogx extension configuration to make sure its active, you could also try to click on this to do onboarding like on the screenshot
if it looks to be active and has perms, then go to any twitch chat, press f12 and show console to see if there are any errors thrown
yeah there are a few errors
nightly but stable didnt work either
Can you try deleting the indexed db for 7tv
there is nothing in index db
Are you in private mode of any sort?
Apparently IndexedDB is not usable in private mode on for example firefox
So could be something similar for opera gx
no, normal browser
What operating system are you on?
From what it seems like the database issue is probably not an issue caused by us, but rather a bug that can happen in chromium
@lapis abyss so this randomly happened and only afterwards you reinstalled extension right?
Its been reported multiple times on mac apparently
windows 10
yeah
can you try chrome just for testing?
Could you try running await navigator.storage.estimate() in you browser console?
wow, there it works
Curious, have you tried completely restarting your computer after the issue first appeared. Seems like gx is having issues writing to disk
do you have chrome and opera gx installed on the same drive?
yeah, there was a system update i did after the problem appeared
From all the reports ive seen with the same db issue the only thing that reliably has fixed it for them is reinstalling the browser or deleting all the browser data
But that would reset all your browser user data
you could probably export a profile
yeah that would be new finding
https://www.reddit.com/r/operabrowser/comments/d7lsmc/backup_and_transfer_opera_settings_profiles/ you can try this, not sure if it's exactly the same on GX as regular opera
ill try that, thanks guys
really quick and good help
i can also try on another opera profile
other opera profile works...
would it work on this profile if i reinstall?
the sync should work
Possibly
i synced everything on this profile and it doesnt work after reinstall
Either there is something corrupt in the settings of that user or you have some setting enabled that prevents usage of indexeddb
i checked and the "Failed to load resource: net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT" errors have nothing to do with 7tv or twitch
