GIF > WEBP/AVIF emote conversions have been broken since November 2024

When uploading an emote as a GIF, the converted webp/avif version will always end up with an altered irregular delay for the very first frame, which ends up ruining perfectly looped emotes.

Based on my findings, this conversion issue seems to affect every animated emote uploaded since November 2024.

Emotes uploaded as WEBP do not seem to suffer this issue.

Current workaround is to simply upload emotes as WEBP to avoid the conversion. An older help thread has discussed this but the gif upload issue has remained unresolved. https://discord.com/channels/817075418054000661/1305281388873777152

throw them in ezgif and you can see the first frame of the webp has a delay of 10 instead of 3 like the original gif.

I've had to use webp for everything

yes but there are other issues which it doesnt fix

10 months for a +3 -3 pr review so I'm predicting the cdn will be fixed within 5 business centuries
