For emotes uploaded as gifs, the converted webp version seems to insert a delay for the very first frame, which ends up ruining perfectly looped emotes.

Based on my findings, this conversion issue seems to affect every single animated emote uploaded since November 2024.

Emotes uploaded as WEBP do not seem to suffer this issue.

A workaround to this issue is simply uploading emotes as WEBP to avoid the conversion. An older thread has discussed this but the gif upload issue remains unresolved. https://discord.com/channels/817075418054000661/1305281388873777152

WebP emote conversions have incorrect frame timing

#

throw them in ezgif and you can see the first frame of the webp has a delay of 10 instead of 3 like the original gif.
