Link "global" and emote search

It's odd to me that the global search in the navbar and the emote search are two distinct seperate things, in my mind one should lead to the other; so the global search can be expanded to a "full" search.
I made a very rough paint mockup of what I mean, I think it would be more intuitive.

of the button to redirect to the emote search

using keys to navigate the search is another thing

In the end, isn't this still a substandard UI for mobile users? The current UI doesn't even work. Why not just redirect users to the Emotes page with all emotes when performing a search?
