#Why is cum considered more SFW than this emote I made?

Very confused as to why my booty shaking emotes have been unlisted when cum and jerk off emotes are koisher? No Content rating would rank boners and coming more appropriate than ass shaking. There are literally emotes from hentai's and fetish content but pixel butt isn't okay? I'm just wondering where the line is since it seems to be non-existant on 7tv.

I know 7TV has it's own TOS, but like Twitch seems to be pretty hypocritical about where they apply it.

My first emote: bBAO
My censored version after ^ this one was unlisted: bBAOBAO

Emotes that are publicly listed:
https://7tv.app/emotes/01HRZF032R000FNZZCB82KQHXH - cum drinking
https://7tv.app/emotes/01JC5QWT39MFAXMDJQQAZD8Y6K - cum drinking
https://7tv.app/emotes/01J2S2VXHR0005H5EVE0TPEW03 - A dog jerking their shit and cumming
https://7tv.app/emotes/01FSSWFBC80006K6NBJGZAPY5Z -dog jerking and pissing
https://7tv.app/emotes/01GX9N8SP800002QZ4KPVQA9JV - fetish content
https://7tv.app/emotes/01J8EA196R0006NP3M7JY4GB8S - ass emote
https://7tv.app/emotes/01GH9EVR200007TVDJZRN3SD5M -ass emote literally from sfm porn
https://7tv.app/emotes/01H1ZB3PJ8000CVRT9DGWRA1KN - ass from 18+ anime

These are just some of the ones I've found but if you've used 7TV you've seen as bad or worse. So once again I'm confused where the standard is. Does my emote need to be clipped from porn or fetish content to be considered appropriate?

There are guidelines, but they haven’t been made public. (Intentionally.) The reality is that it depends which mod approves each emote. I think it may also be because people just want to play it safe and not have to think about whether something should be listed or not. In the early days, 7TV was much smaller and scrappier, and didn’t have as many eyes on them, scrutinizing every decision. The early mod team seemed to be comprised of more edgy people than it is now. That said, I’m not a mod and have no involvement with emote approval.

Do mods not even reply to these? There's just no proper support channel for 7TV then?

Hello, i went ahead and unlisted all of those emotes you linked since they're considered not to be appropriate to be listed on the website for multiple reasons, most of those emotes were listed from previous years before we made some changes to our emote guidelines, which basically is that we are now more strict about nudity/partial nudity coomer stuff etc...

These are only 8 of like 100 cumming emotes. It's weird that if your emote guidelines changed you wouldn't retroactively go back and unlist them, all it took was me searching 'cum' on your website.
Not to mention all the ass and tits emotes.

So I'm understanding that all gooner content is okay as long as it was uploaded before and while you have new standards there is no effort to get rid of all the gooning content unless called out on it.

I’m not a moderator, but I want to say you bring up a really good point. That said, I firmly believe that emotes like "coomer," "cum," and "ass" should be unlisted. While I personally find them odd, I completely understand your perspective and where you’re coming from. Please know this isn’t an attack on you—this is more about 7TV aiming for a cleaner and more appropriate overall look when it comes to emotes.

As for older emotes, I’m not entirely sure what their plan is since there have been years of uploads, but things evolve over time. I’m genuinely sorry that you’re on the difficult side of this change right now.

It's clear there hasn't been a effort to unlist them retroactively. You guys even have coomer emotes in this discord lol. Base 7TV emotes like POGGIES are the reason people think it's okay to upload rancid emotes to 7TV. You guys set the standard right off the bat to be gooner stuff.

Maybe start with your own emotes first it would be the easiest place to start 🥴

I canceled my sub already and moved my emotes so I guess my problem is solved as best as can be feel free to archive this or whatever.

# misty hamlet It's clear there hasn't been a effort to unlist them retroactively. You guys eve...

from what NaM wrote above your message

we actively try to unlist them if they get reported but we haven't done a "cleaning session" to mass remove them, but we will do this eventually once the website is fully working.
The new site is still missing some features and have some bugs/issues that needs to be solved before the mods turn their attention to this, since it's seems like this is a lower priority issue (at the moment)

I don't get your point about how the discord emotes relate to the new emote ToS that are being enforced on the site, this is a 7tv community discord server for people who use 7tv to chat and talk about variety of stuff (including but not exclusively 7tv) and this server and emotes are adhering to discord's ToS

#

And I'm not sure what other platform you've moved your emotes to, but 7tv's emote ToS (old and new) are probably the most lenient ones (as far as I'm aware, and I've experienced other emote platforms' ToS rules)

I feel like the point is fairly obvious, ya'll are enforcing a TOS you dont even follow yourselves. The poggies emote is one of the main 7TV emotes and it's literally just tits bouncing probably from a porn or ecchi if I had to guess. Ya'll set the standard for your site and one of your essentially global emotes is tits which could have been easily removed. I'm saying it hypocritical. Being so open with the sexualization on your site, not just body parts but full fetish content, then rolling it back to being prude police is so suspect. Policing what is acceptable sexualization after years of being open is a thin line and going 0 tolerance is insane.

You guys went from all sexualization is okay to NOTHING is okay. I'm glad the openness helped popularize your site and now that it's popular you can police it.

So in short, boobs, butts are not the same level of sexual as all the cum and fetish content you have on the site and policing it all as the same is crazy. Even one of your mods thought the booty was okay and another one had to unlist.

Where I moved my emotes to isn't really anyone's business. They accepted the emotes and I can use the emotes I drew so that's what matters.

With the preface that I have no affiliation with 7tv, I want to point out the ridiculousness of this post - while I can generally agree with 'how is cum okay', it comes from a place of pointing fingers and blaming others that 'my gooner emote was unlisted, while these examples out of X are not'

I can tell you that initial example of '+18 anime' is not true, because Kill la Kill which it originates from is rated PG-13
So is the anime (Oreshura) where POGGIES came from - it's also PG-13, and not from porn. Both are examples of people looping few frames of animation that happened in the episode, making the focus out of nothing pretty much, so it is kind of the same way as if you make a clip of a streamer hitting the table with his fist, crop the table and loop the frames so it seems like he's doing the jerk-off movement, or alternatively smashing a controller button under the table with an intense expression can be used for this narrative.

All this being said, your initial emote that was unlisted is something you made specifically with gooner mindset, yet as you provided some examples you wanted to be unlisted you never snitched on fellow vtuber ass emotes. It seems pretty hypocritical too when you consider the emotes enabled on your channel supporting the idea of focusing on a loop or movement to indicate jerking off motions or sucking, focus on ass, fetishes, combo lick emotes, grabbing junk, game characters humping, peepoCum, half-naked men and gachi (hey, gachi is actual porn so it should be worse than implied?).

You don't have a problem with all of these being unlisted, yet you want your own emote to be seen for all or it's over. But being unlisted only means actual filter on website/chat and not rejected, so as a creator and uploader you should be completely fine to just enable it on your channel literally right away and there would be no need for all of this Shrugeg
