Doesn't remove recommended channels from the sidebar

When I downloaded 7tv extension, I turned on Hide recommended channels and Hide viewers also watch in Site Layout Sidebar settings. At first it worked, but now when I open up twitch it always shows the recommended channels on the sidebar, even though I have them turned off. If I doing anything with these options now in settings it doesn't do anything, even if I disable the option to hide Viewers also watch on sidebar it doesn't show up. What do I do?

the feature is broken at the moment because of the changes Twitch made when introducing stories. Both settings need a complete rewrite to function normally again

So unfortunately nothing you can do at the moment
