#Stuck on "Processing Emote" forever

I am trying to upload a new emote, it's a simple non-animated, fairly small image. After uploading, it continues to the next screen where it gets stuck on "Processing Emote - this may take some time." forever.

  • I've tried both .png and .webp multiple times each, both yesterday and today.
  • If I reload the page, it gets stuck on "Loading".
  • If I try to do any actions with the emote, like adding it to a set or changing the tags, I get a BAD_REQUEST emote not found error. Using dev tools to view the request, the request is a 200 but in the JSON it shows as a 404 in the errors array.
  • Tested in both firefox and chrome

Ensure your emote is in the aspect ratio of 3:1 at most, <7MB, <1000x1000, <1000frames

Plus, I would expect any of those problems to actually show an error as opposed to just getting stuck in "processing"

But the processing isn't failing, at least visibly. It's just lagging

can you send the emote you're trying to upload?

But I checked the emote and it does appear to be >3:1

#

but as I said, it's an edit of an emote I've already uploaded before

#

Based on this one which already exists and is used by 100+ channels:

Probably the <3:1 is a new requirement after migration

that's really unfortunate

#

there should really be an error message at a minimum though

I have an error though

I don't get that, unless the error is new

#

oh, I do get that now

#

that's new

#

I don't get why they'd do that, but alright. As long as theres some explanation

Maybe, devs are still working on the api

guess I can pad it out with blank space or something
