Still charged for 7tv sub even though I redeemed the free month

I had one day left on my sub yesterday so I redeemed the free month since it would expire in 24 hours and I ended up still being charged for this month's sub?

You probably didn't do "Do not renew" so it automatically renewed the sub

This code only worked for people without a sub, so since you already had one it didn't work
