I can't seem to get the emotes to load, neither on the 7tv.app website nor on twitch...
I have the nightly version of the extension and hardware acceleration is on.
It was working fine and then suddenly just one day, it stopped working...
Reading on the reddit, it seems like a few people have issues with it either being slow to load or not loading at all?

To add to this, a few friends of mine have the same issue and it stopped working about the same day.
We can log in to the site fine and add the emotes to our channels, they just will not show up.
For reference, FFZ emotes work fine
can you access https://cdn.7tv.app/ ?
text "Welcome to the 7TV CDN!" should show up
with some other things
if not, try that #1204118802984476682 message
It does indeed look like i can't.
will check what you just sent
same here, changing dns server did not help
DNS is set to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 on my router, confirmed with an ipconfig.
Denmark here, my mates are from Germany
im from germany
just tried 8.8.8.8, not working.
I have tried Brave too
^where i have enabled 3rd party cookies
wait i'm dumb i used https, lemme try without
works fine pinging it ect.
infinite load, time out
I'll ask about it
i'll let it load forever to see the actual error i get
it might take some time to get though
yep, just ERR_TIMED_OUT
same
If y'all figure something out, do ping me so i get a notification
Same Problem
https://cdn.7tv.app/ is stuck at loading?
yes ERR_TIMED_OUT
I have the same issue, it is on Firefox and Chrome and Edge for me as well. Doesn't matter what browser. Exact same issue. Images don't load, CDN url is blank and times out. I tested changing DNS but that has no effect either. Been like this for approx. 5 days now for me. My location is Norway. So I guess that your new CDN has blacklisted a bunch of the IPs then?
that timeframe pretty much aligns with when mine started acting up
Quick start: Edit service_install_dnsredir.cmd, at line 13, add a DNS u want
sc create "GoodbyeDPI" binPath= "\"%CD%\%_arch%\goodbyedpi.exe\" -5 --dns-addr 9.9.9.9 --dnsv6-addr 2620:fe::fe " start= "auto"
you can change 9.9.9.9 and 2620:fe::fe (Quad9) to another DNS if u want, for example 1.1.1.1 if you like Cloudflare
then run the script as admin -> check if u can use 7tv
So you want us to create a service, running a program, without telling us what it does?
the link literally tell u what it does, it also mentioned in #russia-block-info , u can also google it if u have trust issue
I do have trust issues, sure i can read what it does, but you're the one that recommended it
So instead of running it as a service, is there a script to run it ONCE, to test?
yes, any file that doesnt have service in its name, it should be 2_any_country_dnsredir.cmd
Will check when i get home, currently at work.
okay, so i checked, still doesn't work.
I tried to do a tracert and for good meassure i pinged with -6 to test ipv6, all going through just fine.
IF it was actually DPI, my ISP would be in deep shit, since i can see the cdn server is hosted at hetzner.. which the community i'm a part of, use ourselves.
And well, a large part of the internet too
It doesn't seem blocked tho, wouldn't it block ping too?
@fallow schooner
troy can u check this please, some users from denmark and germany suddenly cant access the site
its probably like the philippines case again
^and norway
okay i will investigate
i dont know why but its fixed for me
Damn, i was hoping.
but no still an issue for me
Understandable
lmk if you need me to try anything
okay @prisma geyser can you access eu.cdn.7tv.app ?
and if not can you access cdn.disembark.dev
Gonna check but.. i think my gpu driver just crashed or my pc did.. 🙃
Tried to exit out of a fullscreen video..
So gimme a few min.
okay testing.. that was werid, it has never done that
disembark works, eu.cdn.7tv.app doesn't
eu times out like the other one
can you do
@prisma geyser Is this working for you? https://37.27.171.117/emote/60ae958e229664e8667aea38/4x.webp (ignore the ssl / security error)
ping 2a01:4f9:3070:3300::1
ping 37.27.171.122
i don't even get to the SSL error, times out

mind you when i'm trying to access the sites, i try both Edge, Brave and Chrome.
Where as Edge i have never used, so that has no extensions ect.
Just to be sure it's not a browser thing
what happens when you do ping eu.cdn.7tv.app
negative
do u have powershell?
or maybe i do..
Just did "curl" in the terminal and something did come up
curl http://eu.cdn.7tv.app
curl https://eu.cdn.7tv.app
it's.. still thinking
yeah it seems like it's just sitting there, doing nothing
i think it might be an issue on my end... annoyingly.
It just hit me that i haven't tried a different device and i tried on my phone.
It works there..
🙃
do you have a vpn by chance?
not that i know of no.
But i even had trouble getting on my routers interface again for some reason, that also timed out..
Fixed that though now.
Pointed my computers DNS to my router, where the DNS is set to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1
I am not sure how to fix this, i suspect your ISP or something on your computer is blocking the TLS handshake.
Not the ISP, but most likely computer.
I have no clue what though, since nothing has changed software wise..
I just tried resetting everything network related, updating network drivers ect.
No dice sadly..
ohyeah and tried disabling the firewall too.. just to make sure, but nope
so it works on your phone on the same wifi?
have you checked your system clock?
correct
yep, that is fine
That's actually the first thing i usually check myself when users come for tech support, where devices throws SSL/TLS errors.
it's just soo weird, that it's only the subdomains of 7tv.app that it can't load...
That i have noticed at least..
i found this from 5 months ago, where TLS handshakes specifically fail with a subdomain of a lets-encrypt wildcard domain cert..
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/78429475/tls-handshake-fails-with-a-subdomain-of-a-lets-encrypt-wildcard-domain-certific
But i have no way to get the information of what happens from my PC to the site, that i know of
do u have wireshark?
i do not no
can you get it
ofc
ohcrap brb, i got food on the stove, gotta take that off
there we go, any filters you want me to run?
I'm a complete novice on settings filters..
1 moment
yup yup
okay
okay
so
ip.addr == 37.27.171.117
put that in the filter
then click the fin
alright, doing that and then waiting for it to time out, then sending a pic of the trace
sent
Was chatting with troy on his twitch.
A user asked about Jumbo Packets, which was on apparently.
I disabled that in the NIC advanced settings and it now works??
First of i have no clue why that was even enabled, i haven't messed with those settings.
Also, everything else worked
Follow-up: I tested BTTV and it also has the same issue, because the 7TV CDN doesn't work for me here in Norway.
same here
I tried disabling jumbo packets and now it worked for me too! I enabled jumbo packets on purpose around 10 years ago. So that's interesting. I have had that setting on for 10 years without issues.
having same issue
@severe cobalt @prisma geyser i will look into why with us specifically it does not work with jumbo frames
@novel zenith what is your issue
emotes not loading, returning 404, on two different pc's from the same network
what's interesting that in firefox they do work
tried incognito ofc
this is chrome and ff side by side
Tried edge, on edge do not work too
can u show network tab on chrome
this actually happens for a few days already, I thought it's your issue or something
I hard reload, and I try incognito, and there is "Disable cache" in network tab
like emote image itself doesnt load
this url doesnt load for me https://cdn.7tv.app/emote/01F6T8NM9R0007M5BTFWSP1YSJ/2x.webp
it's quite long, do u need to see some specific file extension
actually I've found out that if I open that image url in Firefox, it does work
very odd, I'll try debugging and will let u know if I find out why
ye, no idea. I could think that it's issue with some extension, but it doesnt work in Edge too which doesnt have any extensions
when I:
fetch('https://cdn.7tv.app/emote/01F6T8NM9R0007M5BTFWSP1YSJ/2x.webp').then((res) => {
console.log(res);
});
it returns "ok" in firefox, but in chromium browsers it just sits on pending and times out eventually
can u go to eu.cdn.7tv.app
yes, prints some welcome json
Constantly receiving the error message through console and not able to see any emotes (at all). Tried logging in through both the extension and the website only to be put in a window loop(main page-doesn't allow me to enter twitch credentials).
Follow up
Aight, Troy i haven't closed the post myself, since i saw you helping others in here, but if you need them to make their own "tickets" feel free to close it, otherwise i don't mind, i unfollowed it so i won't get notifications
Lets move to a new thread
