#Hot to get the highest quality end result on my uploads?

Would uploading my files as 1000, something between or 128 resolution would lead to better results?
With h264 what crf setting would be preferable? Something higher, like 15 or more like 20?
Is mp4 the best file format (for non transparency)
Does it matter if its 60, 30, 25 fps (as long its in the 1000 limit ofc)

Any other configs which i might look into?

generally speaking higher resolution is better, so I would go with 999x999 px (1000 is the limit but sometimes there were issues with exact 1000 pixels) and 7MB max

#

webp is also lighter than gifs so that's the recommended format I believe

how would mp4 now be allowed?

a few things I would quickly correct LULE
MP4 is an allowed format, you just have to remember, that it doesn't allow transparency.
For resolution it depends on how much you trust the image processor. I usually work with canvas size 128x128 because that way you can control quality for that size yourself. If you go bigger the quality is entirely dependant on the resizing algorithm of the image processor. For file format I usually go with webp though as well

for fps I have to confess I have no idea what the actual maximum is we allow

do we even have a limit on that as long as it's within frames limmit?

hmm what settings would give me the best quality ?

wet field

Probably just what it says under Encoding Mode

#

2 pass average bitrate + target bitrate 0

#

I wouldn't be too worried about quality though. In actual chat size some minor differences in quality won't be noticable anyways
