I installed both versions of the extensions, but with either one I cant send any messages in twitch chat (even non emojis)

Seems like that’s an issue with Twitch not the extension. Maybe you’re being rate limited?

It's a 7tv issue. I tested myself with and without extension, both 7tv extensions as well. All messages works fine when the extensions are removed/disabled and I can send them without any issue. When extensions are enabled I cant send anything, not even channel emotes.
Seems like a recent issue with the extensions.

what browser do you use? are you able to send them through the button "chat" instead of enter?

I'm having the same issue. I've tried in both Chrome and Firefox, with both the stable and nightly versions (clearing cache and cookies before installing each version), and I can't send messages even when pressing the "chat" button

I fixed it by disabling the extension, sending a message then after that goes through you should be able to just re-enable and it works fine; has done for me anyway.

if you still have the issue, when it happens can you press f12 and go to console and show if there are any errors?
