Personal emotes not showing up in extension

I've added a first emote (PETTHESTREAMER) which worked without any issues, I could see it in the extension's emote browser, in the 7TV tab, as intended
Then I added a couple more, updated tab several times, opened new streams, restarted browser entirely, couldn't get the extension to show the personal emotes anymore for some reason ?

I didn't refresh my tab

I just opened the emote menu for the 5th time

and now it shows them ?

or check if your browser doesnt have too many extensions enabled that make stuff load too slow

2 of them are disabled, 2 of them are practically never used

Personal emotes won’t show up unless you send a message first

they are based on the event api just like any other cosmetics

I just sent three different messages, one regular text and two 7TV emotes

twitch emotes did show up in favorites

7TV emotes did show up in favorites
