#7tv login via kick

Trying to login to the 7tv website in order to update/change the 7tv emotes on my kick channel.... Clicking the 7tv login button my kick does open a popup that says it is logging in, and then says the window can be closed, but it doesn't actually login.

what's the trick? how do i login to 7tv via kick?

nope it never logs in on the 7tv website. i just did it again and was watching the dev console in the popup window. when i click continue in the popup it logs this in the console. not sure if this is related.

and this is the response for the failed request:

i tried Opera, same problem as i have with Chrome

i then tried Chrome with a different Kick account and it worked.

also tried the nightly build, it doesnt change the situation with MY account

i think i rmemember linking my discord, not sure if thats an issue - can i login with the discord instead somehow?

the Discord login works, but i was wrong about linking the accounts.... it looks like my discord is on its own with no linked acccounts

so back, to being unable to login with my LURK24 Kick account, even though i can login with other Kick accounts and other accounts such as discord, just cannot login with my LURK24 kick account

and yes i tried deleting the cache

forsenHmm hmm, yea, everything seems correct here. I checked the connected user ID and it also fits the kick user ID

You go to your profile, And click on Kick

Oh yea make sure to Unlink first so it doesn't overlap

then you follow that guide and it should work

The problem is I think he can't even log in to 7TV anymore with his kick account

7tv account has number so i guess he linked discord before but unlinked it, then accidently made an alt

The thing is, Kick's API is shit to the point of 7TV can't really do anything about a better connection/disconnection

the weird thing is my kick login is fine, his other kick is fine, but not his lurk24 account, why does this even happen? LULE

the best thing to do right now is to unlink and re-link

that will update the database on 7tv's end and will fix it hopefully

Hopefully Kick introduces API support so at least 7tv can have a better method of linking

probably yes, he somehow needs to have another linked connection he can use to sign in and then relink kick

i cannot login with this account. when i login with other accounts it works but none of those other accounts show LURK24 under thew connections. There is no twitch account linked to this. how i can move forward?

i looked at the deletion request post that was linked above, it requests info like:

request a merge of those 2 accounts, that way you should have both connections on the same one and you should be able to then use Discord to log into the account

You can also ask to rename it into just LURK24, without any numbers at the end, so it's consistent FeelsOkayMan
