I'm having the same issue as OP - the sidebar thumbnails are not displaying along with the stream title on mouse hover over the channel name in the side bar.
Steps to Reproduce
Successfully reproduced using both 7TV and 7TV Nightly in Brave browser (fully updated). Hover mouse pointer over channel names in side bar (Following, Recommended) and only the stream titled popped out to the right. (Clearing twitch cookies as a test didn't help)

Expected Behavior
Expected stream title and stream thumbnail to display popped out to the right side.

It seems like Twitch updated their tooltip component and now wraps it in more stuff so it's more difficult to change it. Since Melon wrote it I'm not sure what the best approach is to fix it
