I believe there’s a bug with 7tv when you use the emote origin feature. If you rename an emote from the normal emote set, it simply changes the name of another emote.

Just found this for myself today. So I guess it's still an issue. I kept trying to change the names back but it would keep chain changing another random emote.
My solution was just to remove the origin, rename the emotes back to their proper names, and then re-add the origin set. Bandaid fix, but at least it did the trick for fixing all the ones I had messed up. 🙂
