Hello, there are no plans for a bot that would add emotes to the discord server, similar to what the competitor BTTV has, I think it would be welcomed by a lot of people instead of manually adding emotes there and downloading them, etc. ...see photo

not possible with discord's api limitations

bttv can only do it because the creator of bttv worked for discord a short while ago, and gave themselves exclusive access to the emoji api

but for anyone else the limitations are shockingly large

around like 5 emotes per minute globally across all servers used by the app

also further on restrictions, the emoji system on discord is severly limited by file size and format

#

they limit to 256kb gifs, which is extremely small for a gif, which is a format from 1989 with 0 compression

many 7tv emotes are simply too large to even fit in a discord emoji
