Weird status message under my name and it wont authenticate my discord ?

So I have been trying to figure out what's going on? and how can I change the weird status line under my name cause that's an old and I even removed 7tv it off my discord account so I'm not to sure what's going on :((

just to be sure the message youre getting is when you try to reconnect your discord account?

yep when when i saw it at first i was like maybe i have to reset the authentication so i disconnected my discord and tried again and kept getting that error message

so i think the reason your discord About Me isn't refreshing is because currently the discord connection isn't updating correctly. discord changed some things and the devs haven't had a chance to fix it beause they are focused on V3 of the extension.

as far as your discord account. that error message normally means you tried reconnecting/connecting and because of discords changes it creates an account that only has your discord linked to it

LUCKILY! there is a fix for this

So the fix for this is a bit of a pain.

1. go create a new twitch account
2. on 7tv right click the sign in button and select "use discord"
3. you should be on your account that only has the discord linked and now you want to link that twitch account you just created to this account.
4. now that you have another account linked. you should be able to disconnect discord from this account now.
5. log out of 7tv and twitch. then log back into twitch on your main account.
6. try logging onto 7tv via twitch now and you should be able to access the account again.

thats stuck because discords sync is broken right now I'm pretty sure. let me try and change my discord about me and see if I have the same issue

yeah no luck for me either. I'm sure once Anatole has the chance to work on some of the discord and site stuff he wants to do after V3 it'll get fixed

So I realized I'm incredibly dank and the bio thing on 7TV isn't discord but its your bio from twitch under your profile settings. IDK if it will let you change it on account of the namechange but figured I'd update you
