Turn off unwanted 7tv features

I really dislike how the new 7tv extension has taken over large portions of my twitch experience, without the ability to customize what has been done. Example - the highlight message look has been changed and there is no way for me to change it without removing 7tv entirely. Not going to lie, I would really like to just have 7tv for EMOTES. I do not want or need it to customize the look and feel of chat, I have FFZ for that, which has much more extensive and well-thought out settings. Please let me control these settings. I would love to turn off ALL features except for the ability to use 7tv emotes.

If you literally only want to be able to use it for emotes, you can just use the FFZ add-on? I'm confused

ya i dont like it ether it got so bad for me i disabled the extraction and am using bttv rn because they dont take over the twitch layout (also hi donkus i didnt know you were here too)

you might not know this, but FFZ also takes over the chat

the screenshot you've sent, is actually what highlights looks like on native chat with no extensions

ffz's chat takeover does make them look better however i can agree, but your complaint is pretty much nil. What you want is impossible. Extensions need to override twitch layout, or they can't show you the silly emotes.

so why even have the extension installed when FFZ (or bttv ) does exactly what they want (only display 7tv emotes)

unless they have all three installed at once
