I currently have to move my mouse all the way up the 7tv window after clicking the 7tv button, to then search for an emote

Also, maybe the entire emotes window should be inverted upwards, so the best match for the search is just above this search bar position, and the channels list and emote tabs are also close by.
And maybe when I click the 7tv button, the text box is selected so I don't have to click it as well

Beta 8 you can change the search input box to utilize the normal chat box on the bottom.

Removes the top search box all together when toggled.

Settings>appearance>interface

Would that work if I wanted to search an emote while having part of a message already? (It seems like it does, just looks at the last word. But I prefer the idea of having a second search box, just closer to the chat box)
And yes I'm using beta (3.0.0.8200 on chrome)

In previous 7tv, the emote search is right above the chat.
Idk, maybe most people prefer having to move their mouse further to search for an emote. I assume there was some reason you moved it to above in the beta version?

can also just type :emotename and you see a preview of the emotes. Auto populates and narrows results as you type more. Don't even need to open a menu for this feature.
