#Adaptive Paints

that would be sick but would also kinda defeat the purpose of monthly paints
unreadable flashbang paints
i mean that's why i said it should be based on twitch username color, since they limit how light or dark it can be in chat this would theoretically do a similar thing
and if it defeats the purpose of monthly paints that gives <people who make paints> more time to focus on other features and only release paints for events or holidays or something
assuming devs make the paints
true
Oh you wouldn't want the dev to pick the colors

also this still doesnt include the paints that use custom pngs/gifs so if they were used as the monthly paints instead there would probably be more variety in paints options

this mockup has more features than the actual paint tool
im a hater but i will always hold the opinion that paint making should be gatekept
letting it loose would not go well

Twitch usernames do not limit how bright or dark a name is
They have to be converted to a readable color by the client
FFZ and BTTV have that feature, and I think even native does these days.
But the actual color can be whatever
yeah i figured, it would probably be best to limit it based on native chat's rendering
yeah it should all be possible within css filters though, position would control offset & angle, and spread for the paint section would control how blurred a gradient (wipe) is, or if it's in "stripes" mode, how wide/many stripes there are, but yeah there would need to be translation of these controls to actual filter values, and to set the adjacent colors
not an awful idea then
