#Adding an emote to a channel & renaming it causes issues

Steps to recreate:

  1. Find an emote to add
  2. Add to channel using right click -> Use
  3. Enter new name and click green pencil to rename
  4. Watch as emote does not rename and it will rename another emote in the set

For example, I add this ppDVD emote and attempt to rename it to "DVD", it will display that message in chat & wont rename it. It will rename something like OMEGALUL to "DVD". The emote it picks to actually rename seems to be random.

This whole process seemed to have started when I attempted to add & rename an emote to something already in the set. Instead of displaying an error, it messed up the set

Pretty sure this is an issue with origins

#

Although I'm unsure if this is specifically just an eventapi issue or if it's for the site, report is unclear

This just happened to me several times

#
  • Created a new emote set
  • Set origin to another set of mine with ~300 emotes
  • Added emote to the new set
  • Renamed that emote via right click in the profile page listing
  • Different emote gets renamed every time

The same trouble. Old emotes are renamed to random ones that are already in the set. There are more and more renamed emouts every day. It is unable to rename. Deleting an imposter-emote forces instantly renaming of another emote.
My set capacity is 600 and have 3 origins (Origin emotes was not renamed yet, its ok)

The problem was solved after removing the origins. I was able to manually rename the emoji back. Then I returned the origins and so far so good
