This keeps happening and I have been told this is getting fixed last week yet it still is completely broken. When using ":" to start typing an emote, my entire chat box just disappears and I'm forced to refresh the entire page. It is extremely annoying.

It's not a bug directly with our extension but rather likely a conflict with FFZ due to an update they did. The current 7TV extension hasn't been updated in several months. This will ultimately be fixed in v3.0 (beta this month), but there won't be further 2.x.x releases unless absolutely critical
Marking as Won't Fix as extension v2 is a completely different thing.

Appears to be something with FFZ, but what Anatole said, hopefully this super annoying chat disappearing bug will be resolved in version 3.0
