Would it be possible to disable emotes client-side without blacklisting the word behind the emote somehow? a specific example is disabling an emote like the THIS and THAT emotes with DrDisrespect in them as I personally find PantsGrab type emotes to be somewhat disturbing (don't ask me why). I could disable them by blacklisting the words THIS and THAT in BTTV settings but obviously that isn't an ideal solution. I get that this is probably hard to properly implement but thought I'd suggest it anyway because right now my only option is to disable 7TV channel emotes entirely.

I believe if you use FFZ to handle all emotes, you can use its blacklist feature for emotes

If you want to switch to FFZ, the word blacklist is under Chat > Filtering > Block then you enter the words in the "Terms" area
still not a perfect solution though
since it'll block the word entirely not just the emote (I believe)

I'd rather see an emote ID block, currently you can use uBO to block the emote, but after the term has been substituted

ffz blocks the word without blocking the entire message and when you hover over it you see what word is blocked 
better than filtering the whole chat when they spam it

You can Blocklist emotes and then put a zero width space between the word so you can see the word but not the emote
