as for now, there's no indication if you have a specific 7tv badge chosen (if you have chosen one in the first place), so a check mark, or maybe just an indication would be great

Nah, I agree the indicator should be different
Even switching it to an underline would be more traditional UI design
Rather than an “overline”
But as far as green, it’s a strange color to use for this purpose
Green would work as a check mark, but for an underline or for an arrow/chevron pointing up at the selected badge, white or the “subscriber gold” color would probably make more sense to users.
Only because the badges are brightly colored already
It kinda clashes and becomes less noticeable than if it were white
