Not sure if possible, but maybe when you mouse over a badge in chat it should show how many months the user is subbed or the max tier badge they have unlocked. That way you can equip any unlocked badge but it would still show the proper amount of months the user has supported 7tv.

It's a little different from normal Twitch sub badges, but you can't equip different month badges on Twitch. It just simply upgrades your badge.

I like the idea. You could choose a color-fitting badge and still show-off your months subbed.

This is technically impossible for the time being however will become possible with the new cosmetics system
