All third party apps still use v2 which lacks certain features that v3 REST will have (like .gif, .png, .webp emote urls) and the ability to see if an emote is aliased.
Would also allow for Chatterino7 to be updated and more items on the https://github.com/Chatterino/chatterino2/pull/3071 PR checklist to be checked (also some are done which aren't marked as completed)
Should also expose whether an emote is aliased for https://github.com/SevenTV/chatterino7/issues/35

Also being able to add/edit/remove emotes from an emote set would be really nice. Would need access tokens that don't expire unlike the ones made from 7TV-API-REST

To add: Once v3 REST or GQL (get-user-by-connection-id) is finished, we can start with the impl of 7TV for upstream C2. I think pajlada said emotes and badges should be added first. So mainly excluding paints and the event-api.
