#Emotes of the Week

who would be in charge of seeking these emotes out?
you

maybe there would be a channel in the discord for submissions

it's an interesting suggestion just curious how it'd work practically cause whoever would be in charge would rlyyy need to stay on top metas etc
u said didn't make the cut on trending tho?
?
is that not exactly what that means
trending = popular emote/added by multiple people in a short timespan
emotes of the week would be emotes that haven't been spread around enough to reach trending
therefore get no attention and have very few channels with it enabled
so they need to be trending but not trending but also not part of meta (meaning trending) but they need to be spread around but only in very few channels
stop making it more complicated than it actually is
im genuinely asking
it could literally be any type of emote
meta or not
just my suggestion
it'll be run however mods see fit
"didn't make the cut" implies that they're almost on trending page, which would need lots of channel adds
if ur idea isn't clear u gotta let ppl ask to understand
it's very easy to get on trending page
a completely subjective showcase where person X puts emote they found wicked basically?
Ive had this idea for a while and it would probably be based on both algorithmic and human factors
ok so any emote with 14 adds in 25h then

respond to my previous question instead
sure
im liking ur idea so u don't need to give me attitude when im curious ok
it's just the "didn't make trending" that confused me
ok let me give an example then
be nice to saffy or she won't make cool paints anymore

Zhark makes very high quality emotes and a large majority of them don't reach over 15 adds
i would consider many of his emotes to be worthy
This would tie in to the verification systems that are planned
Which would let emote creators certify they created an emote

Shmovy is another example but his emotes do decent
quick point, why do u need to go to last page of someone's added emotes to see their owned emotes
for the few people that have a shit ton of owned emotes
i mean it should just be a tab on their profile
doesn't make sense to rummage through their emote sets first
channel emotes, emote sets, and owned emotes should all be separate tabs
and maybe activity feed
either way a showcase of sorts would be wicked, a submissions channel could work too
like if submitters argued why they should be on there with example of their work + channel cooldown
same to you king

good idea
agrees and then disagrees
agrees, disagrees, then agrees again
also, mods that approve an emote and see that it's a good one (good quality/took time and effort to make or just funny) can mark them for the weekly emote thing too
