I have that setting enabled, but that shouldn't hide followed channels, it never did from my experience. Had the issue for hours, even after CTRL+F5, but can't reproduce it now after a firefox restart. I'll close this for now, if it happens again I'll try to give more info.

In the worst case, the link will become just text, another option is that this special character will be in the link display text, but it will not affect the link url.

It all comes down to the fact that we must find where the link starts and where it ends, in order to set the correct range for the token based on this information.

I would still make a check for links from the tails of else if.... It doesn't look very declarative, there are several conditions where we still redefine the variable inside this condition. But this is so, the little things of life.

Ah, I guess that's because it's a different component, where accesses to its state doesn't go through the same path.

Assign v.mediaPlayerInstance to a ref and use a watcher. You can see an example of this here:

By doing this we are making vue handle diffing and avoid re-hooking the component many times. This also ensures that if we receive a different pointer, the hooks can be removed from the previous one.

I don't think it's that simple. I don't think there's any libraries that can be shipped with the extension and do translation locally. I think this is something that's only done through an api, which can be expensive. It would be cool, Facebook gaming has a way to translate chats and it works really well, but I don't think it's practical/7TV would ever want to spend that amount of money for a small feature.

Conditionally, by clicking on the text of the message, there will be some kind of button that can optionally translate the message, ignoring emoticons.

I notice the translation package that @Batyodie linked also supports LibreTranslate. That offers a lot of flexibility. That could be a free option, and if a user wanted a premium option, they could supply their own API key for whichever engine they want.

There is no "turn off 7TV handling", it's not possible, and would need to be separately implemented. Your issue was renamed as it is a feature request. I will close this issue as it is now invalid.
