Question in regards to this - what purpose can I use the question mark for, when for stuff like neutral roles etc, if any of them is checkmarked, and there's only one neutral role, then the question mark is moot.
So is it for like setting the desired ones to question marks so you're not sure if there's a neutral role that game, but there "might" be?

Second question: what does enabling/disabling "Copy Room Link" in the settings do?

And finally, what does the setting "Lock Lobby" do in lobby settings?
It says "joining will require room code" but isn't that already the case for private rooms or am I missing what that's supposed to mean?
Is it for enabling/disabling friends joining without the room code?

Think of the checkmarks and question marks like this. Say you have a pool of balls, which represents roles. Each role that you have checkmarked will mean that they will be a part of the pool of balls 100%. Each role you set as a question mark will randomly be selected to either be a part of the pool that can or cannot be chosen at all. After such, players can choose their roles.

Say your example, Pigeon is checked and Pelican is question marked plus there can only be one neutral, there is a 50/50 is Pelican will be a part of the pool. After the game decides that, let’s say Pelican is one of the roles that can be chosen, the person who would be picked out as neutral would have an equal chance of either getting Pigeon or Pelican.

As soon as it's ready! The gaggle team develop quickly, and we release patches fairly often. We don't often give out firm dates because it's either going to be a lie if we're wrong, or it'll be a rushed product that might sacrifice quality for speed. This could translate into releasing something without sufficient testing and creating lots of bugs for the game.

If you find none of that explanation sufficient, as Herbert always says, today we are one day closer than yesterday.

I started the game and the window is tiny and hitting alt-enter doesn't change the size!

This is a graphical driver failure, and happens when your DX11 drivers write the wrong resolution to your registry.

If you are using windows, type WINDOWS+R to open the run window. Type in “regedit” and launch the registry editor. Under HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE, delete every folder with Gaggle (Gaggle Studios, Gaggle Studios INC, Gaggle.Fun, GaggleStudios). Be careful NOT to delete the Google folder. Relaunch your client, and have fun!

So apparently irrelevant to your phone's volume the game will still have sound and refuse to mute fully with just the phone volume settings - I assume it like force-ties it to note mute due to the in-game sound volume for some reason xD

This is during a game not the main menu

I went on to add a preset for next time I host a lobby and the goose's tip taps across the floor were quietly coming out of my phone despite the phone being muted xD

If you’re on mobile, yes, the game will still have audio being played despite device sound volume being zero. I.. found out the hard way while playing when my family was sleeping and I wanted to get my token rewards.

I imagine it's the same on most, but my phone has separate device volume and media volume. If media volume is turned all the way down, the game won't make any sound, regardless of what the in-game sound settings are.

I realise this is many hours later, but if you have an Android device, you can unlock developer mode for it then go to settings, scroll down to developer options at the very bottom and open "memory", it should be the first option.

This will tell you how much ram you have in total and how much is in use

As far as I can tell I have one single volume slider - I can't find a second one except for the fact headphones and without headphones is treated differently, but minimizing both doesn't change GGD emitting sounds regardless of phone volume being muted. But I appreciate the note :)

I had a very elabrate dream last night. Ggd but survival horror, in a similar style to Amnesia The Dark Decent and SCP Containment Breach. You are a goose, part of a detective agency after a goose expidition team went dark in mallard manor. The crew leaves logs behind that describe what had happened. After your crew discovers the basement and gets picked off by the hostile birds and other horrors that remain in the basement, you have to find a way out of the mansion. I distinctfully remember that when the pelican, the main antagonist, spots you, it sprints full speed towards you with jaws unhinged like a snake. I also remember getting a bad ending where I escaped but failed to defeat the pelican, meaning the pelican is free to escape too and the world is now pretty much doomed.

When I get dreams about GGD, it’s usually where I’m taking my pet duck along the ship and someone kidnaps him while I’m doing a task.

The only other ggd related dream I had was when I was playing a knock-off ggd where the roles were rediculously overpowered. I only remember falcon could just delete a character regardless of their position every 30 secs which does not leave a body behind, and pelican had a transformation mechanic similar to crow after eating a certain number of people (I dremt this before crow was a thing)

The stomach map is just a never ending floor is lava minigame where you have to last as long as possible on various swallowed objects while the acid slowly rises. You will die eventually, just try and delay the inevitable.

To ask the devs/experienced people - what's the benefit of the Astral Goose? The power seems really really niche and largely useless (even with proxy chat) due to how slow it is to move as an astral ghost and because you can't see colours.
It seems rare you'll ever get any benefit, and the reward seems minimal verses the risk.

It is really niche and situational, but the key is positioning. If you see two people hanging out together, you can astral on over and eavesdrop on them. Or maybe you'll see one of them kill the other, or kill someone else in front of the other. You see it, then run past knowing the truth and go "Ah-ha! Xitza is a duck."

I got a morphling changing because I was astral-viewing them morph back.

Oh my end, I saw green and red in a room together, so I went into a nearby room and spied on them. One of them approached the other and made them vanish, either pelican or professional. My ability ended and I ran back. Green passed me and when I went to the spot I did not auto report. I rang the bell and called green out as pelican because I birdwatched through the wall. Not only did pelican get voted out, assassin also shot themself.
