since you can have your arm blown off I feel like you should be able to load a mag in your gun from hip, or make it where once you put down your gun that your magazines for that gun stay on your hip so you can set the gun down and still grab the magazines to load it one handed, like how bonelab does it where once you drop your gun you can grab the magazines for your last held gun
