Can’t play multiplayer with friend

Me and my friend tried for about 17 minutes to get into a lobby, when I join his lobby it kicks me and sends me to the main lobby and same thing for him and it would just kick us out of the game sometimes. We couldn’t even join a party. Multiplayer shouldn’t be this hard
