alright please don't see this as mean. But it will 100% come off like it
But I am actually shocked on how terrible the multiplayer is.
EVEN NIGHTCLUBSIMULATOR EARLY MULTIPLAYERS BETA TEST WAS BETTER THAN THIS.
and that version of the game was made in months and it was originally a SINGLEPLAYER GAME meaning that EVERYTHING had to be rewritten
And Beyond makes the NCS early multiplayer look like a fcking master piece.

I am dumbfounded by the choices made on the multiplayer and it makes me lose hope in the future of Beyond

My main and BIGGEST take is
Why in the hell are you FORCIBLY snapping players "syncing" them to the host? In what world is that a good idea? No one likes playing a choppy slide show of teleporting around the map. Not only that, THIS IS VR. Any non voluntary movement will cause sickness for most players. So just making the players more local kills 2 birds with one stone.

If your making a VR game you should just know this and avoid it at all cost. So why bake it into the multiplayer without thinking twice?

Now we have the prediction side of the multiplayer
Did you even add it? I cant even tell at this point. Nothing feels smooth or satisfying in the multiplayer. EVERYTHING jitters and there is no sign of interpolation or physics guidance on peers objects.

Now onto DownShot.
A game also made in unreal. And the multiplayer? Amazing, it supports grabbing other players. SILKY SMOOTH synchronised physics. No god awful player snapping (yes even when being grabbed) and completely blows beyond out of the water. I mean yes DownShot has been out for ages but that is the multiplayer experience you should aim for
they even got synchronised mods for crying out loud!
I cant even get mods to work LOCALLY in Beyond.

You've had 2 years, and multiplayer is a staple for this genre. If the multiplayer isn't good then the game will fail miserably

I also understand that this is still in early access and has been out for like 4 days

But did you even test this?

You should have delayed it even more Imo.

If you playe orion drift for 10 minutes youd have a change in heart about the multiplayer

Downshot is good but like it's a much different engine, it's not as heavy at all.

Literally the your a robot, no finger physics, jiggle physics, realistic player model.

The beyond sandbox player model is has much more features.

Yeah because their assets are detailed models, they are the most plain assets you could possibly get.

They are paper weight in game, no weight whatsoever for any weapon. The props are also the same way.

I honestly agree but id just hope stuff gets better in the future
