• First off, make flashlights toggle-able with the B or Y buttons (on Quest 3) so that gripping them isn’t awkward like it is with most games where you hold trigger to turn them on.
• Secondly, whenever a flashlight is shone into an enemy’s eyes or face, they raise their arm to cover their face and temporarily stumble around.
• Finally, if a flashlight is shone at point-blank range at an NPC’s eyes, they blindly begin feeling for the environment for a period and will start blindly firing/flailing at the player if they make a noise. (Either this or it makes them kneel or something, either way it’d be cool)
#Flashlights and their mechanics.

boneworks has flashlights
hla has flashlights (technically)
even saints and sinners has flashlights
As in a blinding mechanic
I’m aware other VR games have flashlights but they don’t have blinding mechanics
i believe contractors did have that feature
it could probably be implemented maybe in that same way
except i think it'd be a bit harder since its with npc ai and not players
Its possible
