I am not a Developer/coder so i don’t know how much performance this would actually save.

Beyond’s npc differ from flatscreen npc in the way that they are simulated with physics calculations rather than just feet IK and movement animations.

However these “simpler” npcs, as I imagine would take less resources to compute.

What if, since the physics calculations mainly only matter in melee combat, there was a simulation distance for npcs?
Npcs outside of that distance would just not calculate all the physics? (I know this doesn’t sound technical at all, my apologies)
