#Community maps

I know modded maps would be a thing, but it this would be a good idea so that multiplayer would be easier for map makers
Yeh definitely if there was multiplayer map making it could speed up maps and more and more come daily like i can imagine the developers maps being fun and all but if there where community maps to play on (or known as modded maps probably) we might be able to go into space for all we know and the maps could be like 10x bigger (assuming there wont be a limit)
There is a limit tho…
Thats just sad
Either way, why should modders have to submit their maps
Just incase they arnt sending inappropriate maps like idk a pe1is or something like that
So report those so these maps get off mod io
Yeh they could ig add reports
Reports or submitting maps works
Because then people like questies which are much harder to get mods, and then run multiplayer on those mods. It would be a way for good maps and original maps to be free and able for everyone.
Works just fine in Pavlov
What you guys mean is the official beyond servers also running community maps if they are good
Yea, and I don’t get why the devs wouldn’t just pick the most popular map from mod io and just decide to let their official servers run it for funzies
Without weird application processes
Because the dev team to player ratio would be 1:100
And it would allow other mod websites
or modders who don’t use mod.io
Every modder for beyond will use mod io
So is it basically like the community maps in TF2 steam workshop? A map gets submitted then every update, Valve decides what maps to put into the game depending of how popular it is kind of thing?
Yeh practically or they just add map making so other ppl can make maps
Just make the map yourself in unreal engine bruh
@gusty sphinx
Uhh
Yeh you can make the map your self but it also adds the feature of multiplayer map creation
Also i never said i wasnt i was saying that people can create maps
Multiplayer map creation is absolute pain to code into unreal engine as a third party
They have already talked about this and it’s not gonna be something we will see in 1-2 years
Im willing to wait and even if not multiplayer it would still be cool to see map creation solo or not and couldn’t the people use a different engine or same engine to add maps multiplayer like it doesn’t have to actually be in the game it could be something else then they just submit it?
Bro just make a map in the normal ue5 editor
… okay i was just saying That if people wanted to work together in making a map they can use something different then just send it off to the developers or map checkers
Also I didn’t know what the software is
No just publish the map and if it’s popular they will look into it
Imagine they’d have to review every single map lol
