Why we need this: your being held hostage, your asked to drop your gun, BAM it shoots your enemy catching them by surprise, giving you the upper hand in CQC.

Reference: in tactical assault , if you bang your gun on the wall hard enough, it goes off. Also In Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the Crystal skull, Indy drops his gun when held at gun point and it goes off surprisingly all of the other Nazis giving him the upper hand eventually leading to his escape.

it doesn't happen randomly, it happens when the firing pin strikes the bullet when in an uncocked position, therefore causing the gun to fire. it only really happens when the safety mechanism on the gun is really worn down, or when its any sig - Sauer made pistol lol

think about single action models, model 3's. they were prone to misfire if the hammer was left down, which is why most people left it on halfcoc (messages keep getting blocked if I say the k) to keep the firing pin away from the cartridge. many modern revolvers dont have this issue because of workarounds like transfer bars
