Honestly would be annoying and only really works for sword sheaths
I just think you wouldn’t be able to holster something fast enough for it to stay fun
how long do you think a holster is? It's going to be just as fast as putting a mag in a gun
Except that you can see the mag right in front of you while a holster is attached to you

Even if you’re not in a firefight I’m just saying you don’t want to glance down in any situation.
If we want this game to be realistic you would need to look down anyway. Because thats how realism works. It's like real life but not. Because believe it or not, you need to look down to holster a weapon in real life.

But on that you may as well use a sling for a weapon
and they showed slings on Aks

If you even take an Airsoft gun and aim that your hands will probably shake less than in vr
Vr controllers are just too weightless to properly do physical holsters
Maybe I don't own a normal gun but I do own a whatever replica and even that is much better to use than vr guns since it has the most important factor: weight and a feeling of your surroundings
I'm not gonna lie I'd love physical holsters but they would just be too hard to use
The game isn’t made for realism it’s meant to be intuitive. Which means that it’s easy to get the hang of and feels right. Physical holsters would just be tedious and not feel right

In real life you'd feel the bumping if you missed the holster so it makes it even more difficult

does it mean that the devs would have to work harder or the person playing the game has to work harder because tedious could mean either of those things

This could be a cool feature, but there is also no reason for it. An actual smooth holster instead of just letting go anywhere near it would be great, but also tedious at times.
Pros and cons for both ways, really.
Very very tedious, I find myself missing my holster many times in Pavlov and it is hella annoying.
The difference to irl is that my controllers don’t respond with force feedback when my pistol touches the edge of the holster, which makes it hard to place right.
If this is done similar to mags though, where the notion is guided and kinda helps you with the position then this could be cool

No matter how hard you try or how much hardware and coding you put into it, no one will ever be able to make a certain level of realism fun in a game.
Real life is not fun(sometimes), and that’s why we play games.
It’s really annoying when I see people who are begging for realism that’s practically just real life, regardless if it would actually be fun

So I think you should add it because it's more realistic as in real like instead of just snapping to your self holster and in real you you never look down when switching weapons you train to holster without looking down as I can do it
Well in vr you don't have the same sense of space around you as in real life
