Gamemodes that are allow for more modular and loose objectives that encourage creative problem solving.

Objectives can include but are not limited to:

  • survive/kill all members of opposing team (asymmetrical warfare like 5v20 would be cool, also James Bond Skyfall showdown type gameplay (1v10 with traps and stealth))
  • capture (capture leader/high value target)
  • transport (get a player/a box to a location safely)
  • extract (infiltrate a prison/an enemy base to free friendlies and extract them safely

Optional objectives can include:

  • raid enemy camp/outpost for additional supplies

Devs should be able to get a mix of these objectives into a dynamic storyline that plays out in an open world. The players are however left the choice of how to approach and complete these objectives, and even if they should do them at all.

  • The open world map will be the key feature for this to play out. It will allow for strategic and immersive gameplay by allowing the players to use terrain as an advantage.
    For example extracting through rocky terrain so vehicles have to take the longer route around, being able to use Guerilla tactics to gain an advantage over the enemy team
