Like having to disinfect wounds, apply tourniquets, using an iv drip, etc. And players or npcs can like blackout from loss of blood or pain from getting shot or applying a tourniquet.

Would be pretty cool, maybe something a little quicker? Immersive non the less, but not that you have to sit down and perform a 10 min surgery on yourself mid fight. But i think a bleed out system sounds pretty cool, like you need to physically wrap it around your arms, say you even lose a limb if that becomes a thing, were you have to, perhaps wrap a belt around your wound to stop the bleading?

also belts can’t easily get tight enough to act as a tourniquet

True, yeah idk why i was thinking belts, i would NOT bring a belt to a gun fight💀

contractors pmc is wayyyy simpler than I mean. Like I think it would be cool to need dedicated medics who have studied (just a bit) and know how to identify and treat wounds.

Maybe a far cry style of healing like where you dig out bullets with your knife or pull shrapnel out and apply a dressing? For a bit more "realism" but also not too complicated where it would take an unnecessarily long time.
