The bell pepper seeds from the tutorial vendor does not count, you need to buy new ones from Bud the seed vendor, he will then task you to plant them and bring her the harvested plants 🥔 🍅 🫑

No this is a different later quest. She wont take seeds you didnt actually go pick yourself by hand, the ones sold by bud or obtained from other players dont count here. Not even sure if the picked ones count, they are rare enough that I havent tested it in both demos.
And yes can confirm, she is evil. Every quest in her chain should be reworked to just accept the item she asks for. They are all....particular. And take most players days to get right on every step.
