It’s been taking me ages to focus on the audiobook this time. The previous one had me obsessed, especially the narration by Will Patton was mesmerising. In this book I missed some of the endearing comedy I think. It was very very serious. It focussed a lot on individual character development and less on the unfurling on the story (though a lot happened still). I missed some of the group interaction we had before. I hope the group will come together again to finish up #4!

And re: drinks, all my books are e-books, so bookmarks or writing in books or creases do not apply to me at all... Seems a bit exclusionary, tbh 😅 Like, what about those who only listen to audiobooks? They are readers too

ebooks DO have bookmarks and some do allow writing, or highlighting passages (which in an irl book would be used with a marker so counts as writing in my book)

hi! thanks for raising this concern. i'm sorry it comes off as exclusionary but that's not what i intended while making these graphics. i'm an e-book reader too, and in no way are these graphics meant to imply that audiobook readers are not 'real' readers. in my e-books i can annotate with either coloured highlighters on my phones and black ink on my kindle. i do admit that looking at the graphics now they are a little exclusionary towards audio readers so moving forward i will keep it in mind and you have my apologies. and re: mix and match—you 'mix and match' one baked good and one beverage. hope this helps!

You can also annotate while listening to audiobooks. On some audiobook platforms you can bookmark a section and take notes or you can write any note or thoughts on a physical notebook

i finished my first book of the readathon

also i‘m ngl, my favourite ‘baked good’ aka cake (idk why my indonesian brain inflates all sorts of cakes and sweet treats as baked goods) is bolu, but my favourite type specifically is bolu kukus (steamed cake) (yes i cheated on the which baked good graphic a little bit but the pink was so cute with romance books and lighter reads but also i genuinely just realised now that bolu kukus is not a baked good because it‘s steamed) so for the cookie dough prompt i‘ll be using my next baked good which is bolu pandan yay! (actually made in the oven)

i ate my baked coconut chips while reading this book and so that crosses out focaccia and this book was sweet in the way the author wrote it. the content material was very depressing if you really think about it, a lot of european imperialism and colonisation and slavery, but the way he delivered the now non-existent countries and why they don‘t exist anymore was very light and sweet, so that crosses out melted sugar also history is always very bittersweet to me, so yes

i've tried things like that before (spinny wheels, carl, etc) but i can't just pick up any random book, i have to be in the mood for it so randomisers of any sort never work.

I forgot to update my progress !! I eat brioche on sunday I think, while reading the book I hope to finish for the mix of two genres prompt !

I think I’m a mix of the vanilla krone and mille crepe reader type but I would love to be a bretzel kind of reader !!
