yeah I tried it with a dry flour breading and also with wet batter and neither really worked. The dry stuff kinda just flated off and made chunks of breading. The batter worked great but the lettuce inside basically entirely shrunk and evaporated

The good thing about Palia and what they're trying to achieve (imo), is that there's enough there for those who want to lose themselves in it, but is done in a way that you don't feel "left behind" if you are a more casual player or someone who doesn't have as much available time

From just the sneak peak I got, It is super fun jumping into a game when you already know a lot of the community members already. Of course there were tons I didn't know (yet), but when you happened by someone you chat with all the time it was magical. The cool thing for those who do spend time here in the discord, it truly does feel like you are surrounded by friends

See that's something about Palia that is different. Most games I jump into alone and solo everything because I don't know anyone and I'm hesitant to join groups/guilds/clans or anything. With Palia though, I know when it's released I can hop in and just start chatting, hop any which way, ask for help if I need it, and it won't stress me out.

'Kill x of these, gather x of those', or questlines like in FFXIV where you absolutely HAVE to complete the main questline to unlock certain features. I prefer quests being something on the side I can do if I'm bored for extra money or reputation.

Same concept could go toward achievements. Complete 100 achievements and unlock X. And the achievements are tiered. So 'fish 10 fish, 50 fish, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2500...' and each one unlocked counts as a point toward the 100.

Maybe Tish will ask for some wood/wood related stuff .. but thats because we are used to the 'traditional' quests .. but Palia seems to be avoiding traditional so .. it will be interesting to see how they make questing fun

Ah I see. Iirc one or more of the devs here worked on League, but I've never played it. I'm a huge Soulsborne fan, done a no leveling run on every one, did DKS1 lvl1 ng7 melee only etc, kinda obsessed.

Currently im looking to become a semi-professional hearthstone player, I started playing recently and hit top 200 on the american servers in november, started playing on the european ones yesterday (im from the EU), looking to grind it out the next few days. I think for me its about being an insanely competetive person by nature, so I hope for some sort of relieve of "classic" competition in palia in the future.

With CS or shooter games in general I think its harder to just grind it out until youre skilled enough, as some factors influencing your level of play cant be trained for after a specific extent, so thats never been my genre, played some CoD years ago and instantly got frustrated .-.

the way i see the secret santa work is that at christmas time there would be a TOWN BOARD where people sign up for secret santa and each person puts down up to 5 things they want for christmas in Palia. then when it comes to christmas a palia santa appears with a sack and players turn their secret santa gifts chosen 1 of 5 things and then on the eve of the 25th the gifts appear in our mailboxes 😮
