Maybe instead of interaction for each item being crafted, when it's in bulk there's more interaction or each interaction takes a little longer. That way you're still involved in crafting and crafting more takes more time but you'll not be spending ages repeating the same tasks over and over for each craft?

So say there's 3 stages in crafting a specific item and you want to do 15 of them at once or something. Add an extra stage or two in the crafting and make each stage slightly longer so that the crafting time is marginally longer but you don't have the repetition or anything from if you had to do each stage for each item

Just have crafting be dynamic enough. It's not like combat in games is technically more than just doing the same thing over and over. But you have to make a few decisions and react in certain ways, making it feel nice-ish

Could also just tie this to the skill points / mastery of the skill. Either you need to craft the item individually a few times before being able to make bulk, or it's a skill you unlock down the line somewhere...

With how leveling works for skills (typically require experience gained from completing the task) I think it would require some changes but a really solid idea! Lets it be interactive but not repetitive to a degree and as you improve it gets easier. I'd say with your skill level you have a ceiling on how many you can craft at a single time, and as you level that skill the limit increases. That's a really solid idea, wouldn't have thought of it that way!
