Oh man, on this note, the little switch controler you get as default? I coudn't use it. My fingers touched under the controller when I held it. Getting an aftermarket, larger controller, was such a good idea.

If you play in handheld mode, the Hori Split Pad Pro might be a good option for you. They're like 50USD but they work for big hands

All the rooms might be a bit much. We have a dark emerald green thing going on that is very soothing. I'd call it a dark hunter green but its more blue than that. We put it in the bedroom and loved it so much we kept going.

But its not everywhere. Her studio is bubblegum pink with all teal furniture. My office is a dark tobacco and merlot combo.

A whole interior of the same color kinda robs each room of its personality. (in Palia and in real life!)

Hey, no matter how big, we can still appreciate good color combinations! Magenta/Pink/Orange is slammin. Also, a nice burnt orange/rusty color with really deep blue green accents makes anything look dramatic.

Honor mode is so brutal/fun. If you die (all party members) it deletes your save files for that character.
I'm at the end of chapter 2 in my honor mode, taking every fight so slow!

Ya, it makes you think about everything differently. When not on honor mode, I save before every pickpocket and rob every merchant blind. Honor mode, you cant reload at all... so I don't think I've stolen anything from someone who wasn't about to die.

Yeah console patch certification ain't nothing to sneeze at. I know Sandrock's been dealing with tapping their foot waiting for Nintendo to approve their latest one. They submitted their patch to them a little before Christmas and are still waiting (by now it's mostly gotten the go-ahead but it's gotta be approved for all regions for a global release and the Asia one hasn't happened yet).

since that game is mostly singleplayer (tho has a multiplayer mode) they don't need complete parity so they can still update the PC version while the console one lags behind (I'm sure they're not happy about that but). but Palia is a MMO so it can't do that

Speaking of sandrock -kinda offtopic- is that any better than mtap? Or similar. I liked the game but i remember it had some bugs and people were complaining they were moving on even when mtap was incomplete

It's a LOT better than Portia. Portia was fun but I felt it was lacking and yeah it felt like they'd moved onto Sandrock before Portia was really done. but Sandrock feels like a huge improvement in every way. I've got like 140ish hours put into it so far. It's got some glitches here and there but nothing I haven't been able to fix with a quick reload

I wanted to make a suggestion that I thought would be good and beneficial to the game I just seen a post that someone made talking about the soil plots that we get from badruu and how there should be more available to buy and honestly that is a great idea and should be added in the next update so we can make bigger farm lands to make more crops and be able to make more food that would be awesome

Yknow, the more I think about it, the more I'm wondering if not resetting progress is a good thing. On one hand, no one has to start over but on the other, and with what I've seen s6 doing is putting a LOT of end game stuff in new quest or the like.

And with a lot of the player base being st end game way before, people are going to bullet train their way through any new quest or resources if they evet come out.

Hey there folks! I'm in quite a bit of a pickle. I'm currently level 36 farming, and haven't figured out a way to get normal wheat. I purchased a bunch of normal seeds from zekis and filled up my farm. Only to end up harvesting only starred produce!

Now, normally this wouldn't be an issue, except that I rely usually make steak dinners for my focus. However, Steak Dinners required a star meat and a star wheat. If I don't go out and actively hunt for starred meat, I can't make any dinners, or even normal tier recipies unless I dedicate a serious amount of time for hunting starred herbs and other unfarmable produce.

Hoping someone has a solution here, as I'm at my wits end on how to keep cooking.

You know in Bahari Bay how there is a Proudhorned Stag Sernak that is gray and sparkles and you use special anti magic arrows on him? This is the same for the Azure silver chappa! I see him in the field near the Hideaway Cove travel sign most often. when you shoot him, he often splits into three and runs in all directions. I have only killed it and gotten the tail by having 2 or 3 others with me so we all shoot like crazy and hope somebody hits it, twice, to kill it

I'm just suggesting they double check first, because I've had multiple instances where a villager will request one thing in the dialog, but then something different is in their weekly wants under the relationships tab. Palia story is eerily close to what is happening to us IRL. Gaulders did everything and then the humans disappeared.IRL elite companies are switching to Artificial Intelligence. Hmmmm what a coincidence. Movie stars crying out for employment new movies etc. but A.I. will do it. The world no longer needs human actors CGI will do it. A.I. will write the scripts do the art. It only needs a human programmer, for now until they become sentient and then the human will no longer be necessary. Just think from the perspective of the elite corporate owners of business. NO employees, No paid vacations, No medical insurance, No sick pay and the list goes on & on in perpetuity. But ...but... companies are hiring yes they are , they are replacing the permanent 40 hour a week employee with approx 17.5 hour a week employees. Labor laws don't require an employer to do anything other than a part-time paycheck. No perks just straight pay for hours worked minus payroll taxes. So even though minimum wages have increased to 20 something reduced hours still leaves a person short on the basic living wage. Singularity 6 according to the article I read laid off 10% of their employees when they did the last update. So read the articles for yourselves. Enjoy what you have and take nothing for granted...a hard rains gonna fall, as the old saying goes. Hopefully S6 can keep their server network going if it goes to a subscription then unfortunately I can't play online. I am 70 now have a mortgage free home just have to pay property taxes and (that's on the rise too ) disqualifies me from any discount food programs etc. But hey I can still go outside I can still taste the rain, slip in the snow, curse the cold whilst I build a fire. ;P I have a roof over my head hot coffee and soup and my videogames ! the whole morale of the game and the community is to give and be kind, like a commune, it doesnt seem like an ideal of theirs to fill this beautiful game full of microtransactions, even in saying that the amount of people who would have bought something just for the little cat, given how many are playing the game at the moment id say they are making somewhat of a profit.

Personally, with open-ended games like Palia, I just set the goals as the things I most want to do. expanding the variety of things you can earn outside of just furniture would be a really good start, but S6 seems to have an 'all or nothing' stance regarding entire item categories when it comes to monetization, which basically completely eliminates any chance of earnable pets, earnable glider skins, or earnable outfits, and I honestly don't feel that furniture as the only substantial reward/thing to farm for is going to be good in the long term

100% agree. If there were an outfit every 100 levels of a skill or something like that i'd probably be more tempted to keep going. The housing is too limited anyway, cant really mix and match and too few palettes, cant flip float sink or clip furniture etc. A lot of sets dont work together either.

Id also still like to see item sinks for gameplay unlocks, like a community event to unlock new houses/museum/fix bridges for all i care.

A TLDR, to my understanding: (someone please correct me if I'm wrong, its like 2am here and I'm tired so I could easily be remembering the chain of events wrong)
We used to have an accessibility feedback channel. That was removed after they started "organizing" the server, and people understandably got upset because it felt like S6 was, in a sense, dismissing players feedback regarding accessibility by removing the channel.
After a lot of complaints, the accessibility channel was re-added, but right off the bat S6 basically said "we're not going to read this, just so you know"

the short of it: there r veryyyy limited accessibility options (i think only 1 or 2) and no roadmap for accessibility, it hasnt really been mentioned in dev updates and the like
the long of it: #♿│accessibility-discussions is a good place to find stuff, there's a document in there that has a bunch of accessibility requests. the cms have stated that they dont read that channel, like no one who has power or anything does, so it's just disabled people talking among ourselves :]

I suggest getting a stylus like the picture I will post (they are super cheap on Amazon) and adjusting your touch screen sensitivity in your settings to "stylus".

the game's lighting adjustments come to mind, there.
The game looked a lot different prior to 1.6, some people felt that nighttime was too dark and they had trouble seeing, so S6 completely changed the lighting and for a while daytime was actually migraine-inducing
they later toned down the daytime brightness so it wasn't that bad, but now nighttime is stuck looking like purple daytime for everyone, instead of just, yknow, adding a brightness slider

While I understand your reasoning, but people dont realize that small companies dont have AAA game luxury like Microsoft/Blizzard/Square Enix/Ubisoft where they have plenty of money to maintain the servers and developments. But games like Palia and small company like S6 , their budgets to not receive a lot and provide a lot for the players can affect maintaining servers, fix bugs and develop new contents. So if devs are cutting budget to save money to keep this game going and run it, they'll do whatever it takes even if it's using AI so that players can play while avoiding any microtransactions. I am even surprised this company didnt even do a big kickstarter. So I do respect their desire to give people freedom without paying big money for microtransaction or apparels.

But it's kind of rude by people in here who complains that there has not been any new content, new developments , and then complain about how there is now company layoffs then using AI etc... well, welcome to reality. is all I can say for those people who complain.

Palia is cozy, but to be honest, since i went om holidays and came back to my pc after a few days, i havent played at all.

It have lack of content for me, i think they should add more Things to do with your farm, like let us have pets, let us have farm animals, let us make water areas on our farm, have more small decor items, more quests, a New map... I know everything takes a ton of time, thats fair, but atleast let the game develop and dont stop where it is now.

people are allowed to express their distaste in the issues that go unresolved for months, and complain about promised features that aren't implemented yet. MANY indie game studios with very few or single person game creators still pump out updates and meet fans expectations. If a company relies on constant income from the game to finish their own game, there is some poor planning and management happening behind the scenes. In that case, they SHOULD make the game cost money, or SHOULD have had a go-fund-me.

Its not rude for people to express their opinion when theres a lot of money grabbing happening in the form of cosmetics being added EVERY update and not a lot being shown in terms of updates and bugfixes. Including the broken acheivements... for 130 days now. Give me a reason to pay, and i will GLADLY do so! If there was more content and more responsiveness in terms of fixing issues, id be throwing my money at palia.

I haven't played in almost two week because I can't progress in the game without the "Eye of the Storm" quest being fixed. I ck everday here on discord, reddit and the Palia website for any news on a fix it for my quest. It's been sitting in my quest box now for 5 wks..So when the S6 team decides to fix my quest and all the bugs I'll be back, maybe.. I'm just frustrated and sad 😭

They did the same thing with the Eshe party quest. If you said not now when she asked, she'd never ask again and you were locked out of the content. We asked repeatedly that they add a warning to the log-in announcement and they did nothing so more and more people got locked out when a simple warning would have saved them.

They fix bugs and add features with every patch they release along with the cosmetics. All I see is you complaining they didn't fix YOUR issue or add the feature YOU want. They released updates every two weeks, which is faster than almost every other game company (usually one per month, or one ever three months).

They do these things all the time. Sometimes bugs are hard to fix, so it takes more time. Sometimes a feature isn't working the way they intended, so they delay the release.

0.174 patch notes fixed so many things, they could only list 7. Problem was 4 of the 7 they listed weren't actually fixed. "Major" bugs, like accomplishments, have been in the game from day 1 of Beta. Are we to be ok with every major bug taking 6+ months to fix?

yes but important features being broken for nearly as long as the game has been out ( like the achievements being broken for over 130 days at this point) is a little excessive? There are obvious glaring issues that get ignored. Or like the above said. say the bug is fixed and it literally isnt. We shouldnt just be "okay" with things like that

smaller dev teams get bugs fixed faster than in 6 months. theres literally no excuse for that except not listening to the playerbase, or not prioritizing the player experience

That "accomplishments bug" is just a display bug, from my unterstanding. You can still complete it with the bug (although it's a bit more difficult for you). I personally am not experiencing it, so it also doesn't affect everyone.

It might just be one of those things that's very difficult to track down and may never get fixed, and might have been shelved entirely as it doesn't affect new players.
