I'd say if you are sure you can't water any placed one (when placed longer than 1 ingame day) contact support.
(also make sure to tell them you placed all of them and they didnt show a water bar after a few ingame days)

you can see how theres no watering bar in the gazebo, and how my small trees can still be watered but my big tree cant be [and its been 2 irl days since i last watered it]

yeah, these are all trees that gave me 1 seed and then stopped giving seeds and being able to be watered

don't think there are tutorials about that, its try & error, heres a small example
don't have any large rooms to show, but as you can see I cant place them at the start, but after moving the room to a hallway i can attach the rooms and then move the room the original position.

I had to move mine away from other things. Otherwise it wouldnt show the bar with trees too close to things. Its nuts. Now I grow trees on an empty plot to how I want them

these trees were working fine though, they all gave me 1-2 seeds then suddenly stopped around the time they did the hotfix to stop the trees from counting towards the decor limit

I'm still adding or changing things around the plot (a conservatory full of fish and bugs is in the plans), but it's mostly done. It's all about spacing and negative space. Think of your spacing in a "Fibonacci" way and stay consistent with it. The grids on the ground are your friend and should be monitored closely as you're placing. (POV: a Palia obsessed professional graphic designer) Beautiful clutter is a whole art style so be patient with yourself!

I'm newer to the game but I love touring homes! My favourite is seeing fun little scenes, nooks and crannies that make me want to explore more, and creative use of space. I saw a tiny room that had a pentagram made out of floating candles and a sernuk plush sitting in the middle. I saw a little loft reading nook. Yesterday I saw a pergola used as an awning for some comfy chairs, and a tiny porch built with an unlit torch as a microphone, the maji market drum, and the banjo. Stuff like that catches my attention and makes me want to explore the entire plot and see what else they have tucked away for me to find!

What you want to do is called rotational floating/sinking. There are a few tutorials on here for it. I can find one for you if you need.

Move the shelf 1 down, and then take it off grid and push it just the tiniest bit to the left when facing the shelf before cancel placing.

Yep, so when you do that, you have your shelf placed at an angle for the next one? Pick it up and cancel place it like I said and it merges them perfectly aligned. So you are just sinking it one in, and moving it slightly left so that the edge lines up

Okay, if u know how to float u can do it but it has to be anchored in a chain in a distance below 10 crates away

U know, u can place a crate outside, cancel it where u want the tree, move house away and crate will stay floating temporarily there, marking your spot

Also, you get different results in placement with the back of the HH. Left is moving down 1 on a shelf placed on a crate, and right is the back of the HH. Doing it on a crate gives you a cleaner line. Or you could just move the shelf down 1 small square on the side of the house.

I've never equated separating a room from another room as "ghosting". I think that term is being used too broadly. To me, ghosting was having a room connecting to another room on another plot. Effectively having a room connected to another room that was invisible.

Detaching works and probably will work at least until a full housing rework, because all you need is a invalid socket for the server, while its still valid for the client which places the rooms. There are multiple ways to achieve that.

You put one pillar on a shelf, rotate it 90° and use cancellation to move the wall where the shelf is a square and a half back on the grid, put the second pillar on top of the first and move them to snap

I took the blocks and turned them sideways on a shelf, took the grid off and placed a pillar as far down as I could, right on the edge. Then just attached the rest to the pillar. They aren't evenly aligned on the ends of the blocks, so you have to sink them to move them into place

let me open the game again real quick and I'll show you

Put the attached crates on a shelf and turn them sideways. Take the pillar off grid and place it on the very edge of the block as far down as you can like so, right one the edge of the block. Then attach the other 2 to the pillar. The get them perfectly centered so that they are the same length on each end, pick up the shelf and cancel place it 2 and 1/2 small squares down.

I also sunk each pillar 1 small square into each other

So I made my sunken stack, then cancel placed all the pillars away from the main pillar and then put the pillar on the block

hope that makes sense

For those of us that like building attics, the positive of the grand harvest house is that the ceiling is much higher, so when you create your attic, you have more space to walk around in than creating an attic in the regular harvest house.

The lighting are spotlights, and it’s so disappointing. I like natural light, so I’m glad it’s well lit naturally, but some landscapes have dark interiors, and it takes several lamps to get it well lit. I love the look of the Ravenwood, Dragontide, and Moonstruck chandeliers, but they hang so low and are very dim.
Oh, I’m not a fan of the Homestead lights that come with the house. Way too warm.

The big tall plant behind me? That can be freely placed inside, as long as the space above is tall enough to fit it! If you try to put it under a roof or the 2nd floor of the house it wont let you, but anywhere large inside is ok!

I finally saw what the palium chest looks like in game, and I understand why many people don’t like it. Unless you’re going for the purple/blue/pink colour palette, it doesn’t match anything else, specifically for people that like to use them as decor items.

If I was going for a specifically barbie pink/purple plot, I'd love it. But it really 1 doesn't match the moodier color of palium and ancient trees, it's also such a bright and specific color. Like it's made for using mod kits and is the berry mod. It's very specific and can easily take away from other build themes. The wood should be the nice dark wood we see in the elder/umbraan sets, and they should keep the palium color to just the metal bits like all the chests before. Palium being a rich purple/blue color, not pale Lilac.

It’s more frustrating since they added in items we can craft into the Underground. Those items are taking up space where we could have another picture frame, toilet, etc.

If you have a red present, I think these lights could either sit on top of it (if not, it could be anchored to it)! From there, using cancelling method to hide the red present in the blocks.

Yeah, like i said, to each their own. My own space personally is very bright & lots of pastels, so for me personally i like it. But if you're not after that look then of course it wont be for you, i get it.

Yeah, I only have the default landscape currently, & for the majority of the game the inside is SO dark even with larger windows & several light.

Obstacle flick is so hit or miss for me, depending on the item. I’ve gotten it to work at 60 fps, though. I prefer to play in 60fps because it’s much smoother.

I also have the default landscape. I find that it’s well lit on its own, unless you have a ton of trees surrounding it. The Aurora borealis landscape and one of the newer ones with Dragons/waterfalls on it have weird lighting. Like, it’s dark inside, even with no outdoor obstructions. Other than two outfits from almost two years ago, I haven’t put any real money into this game. I do like the Shipwreck Isles and Autumn landscapes.

Fair enough. Ive cleared all the open areas around my home except for the largest trees as i dont have a strong enough axe but none are close to the house, sometimes its very nicely lit but it does seem brief & goes darker for the majority. Ah well. Not the end of the world lol!

I havent put any money in either. A lot of the premium items dont feel worth the spend for what you get imo, esp compared to what other games offer for those prices, but who knows in the future. I do look in tishs shop though but again often those lights dont actually light up anything other than themselves lol

We may have different user settings (and just a difference in how we perceive colour/light). I will say the OG lighting in this game was top tier, then it got botched in an update around September-October 2023. It hasn’t been the same since. It got even worse last year, then I was recommended to adjust the “Bloom” setting.

How far along in game are you? I ask because everything in Tish’s shop can be crafted, so once you reach level 10 in Furniture Making, you’ll have access to all the default decor sets.

Possibly so (and yes likely with perceivance) . Im on nintendo switch so i have less visual options than say on a monitor on pc. Shame about the botched update though. I have noticed a lot of bugs in this game. Ive had to force close it more times than id like to

I play on PC with a 34” ultra wide monitor, so everything is smack dab in my face. 🥴😅 I also have annoyingly heightened senses, so lighting and sounds can overstimulate me in game hella quickly. That I know of, I think the Switch has had the worst crash statistics.

Once you level up furniture making, crafting things becomes second nature. Decor sets that aren’t part of the original sets (Industrial, Homestead, Log Cabin, Ravenwood, Capital Chic, Ranch House, Kilima Inn, Moonstruck, Bellflower, Dragontide) can require more resources, but get easier over time.

I will say with the Elderwood update and all the new furniture to go with it, if you have the gold, buy it from Tish to start out with. 😂😂 Some of the materials (like Elderflower) can be hard to acquire for some, and other materials are needed in many of the quests.

Lol fair. I sadly dont have the space nor finances for a pc, maybe one day! & i feel you on sensory issues. I have a lot of sounds turned down lower & for me i prefer a brighter game so im not squinting. And yeah thanks. @feral cape When I finally started to do more advanced glitching, I’d see everyone say to switch to 30fps, so I did. Then one day it wasn’t working, so I switch back to 60fps and forgot how nice that was. Hahaha! I’ve left it back at that, and did more flicking a while ago, and it worked, so I didn’t bother to change it.

@sharp basin That’s valid, and I’m manifesting for you. I have my partner’s old PC, which is way more powerful than I need to play Palia, otherwise I wouldn’t have a PC. And no worries, I wasn’t going to go in depth, due to spoilers. I keep game audio on, so I can hear what’s around me, but I adjust them.
