I've always advocated that the glitching I do shouldn't be necessary.
If S6 makes the game work in the way that I'd like to be able to build, I'd likely stop making videos lol

That makes sense. Some people will have trees, trellises, low hanging items jam packed together, and I can’t see anything.
My efforts always start inside first. I also like that when I create a house, it actually feels LIKE A HOUSE. And not just rooms leading into another room leading into another room (which is partly in fault of the game design).

my biggest complaint with this is less about the extra space and more about the fact that the cutoff between the area you can decorate and out of bounds is so obvious. Like you can see exactly where my decorating line stops on my plot. I'd rather have it blend cohesively into the out of bounds area, but instead there's just bare space between the two

When they first release the Iron and Copper building blocks, they ignored clipping for some reason.
A patch or two later they "fixed" it.

The ability to make things ignore collision already exists in the game, there's so many examples of it already. From the outside looking in, it seems like they can just flip a switch. Just give us that switch already.

I had a plot that had this underground sprawl of interconnect builders floors anchored and floating off each other. It was just below the surface, so you couldn't actually see it.

But it was close enough to the top that I could basically freely place anything I wanted out of bounds.

It was cool, but man did it use up so much item count.

When they release new landscapes, I’ll look around the entire layout just for fun, but otherwise, I don’t actually tour a bunch of homes like I used to. Mainly because I don’t play like I used to, so when I am online, I’m laser focused on something.

The same way you do the builder block arches but using a gourmet mug to place each bug.

You place one plank then three mugs at the very back of the first plank, one in the middle and one on each end. You want to mugs as far back as you can get. Then place another plank on top, centering it over the center back mug. Repeat the steps until you have your desired height. You can move the shelf by selecting the bottom most plank and moving it that way

I have a firm believe that S6 needs to grow with us builders. So many people can glitch build, and make some really great stuff, while others have literally gotten so frustrated that they have pretty much stopped playing the game. Not being able to create unique and amazing builds really puts a dampen on people who want to, but cant figure it out. S6 NEEDS to just give us the ability to move things via the X/Y/Z. Make it an advanced building mode. Give us free rotation without having to attach a shelf to the wall and do some wicked magic. The communities morale would be so much better. AT THE SAME TIME, S6 keeps giving us all these really cool map skins with awesome stuff thats locked off the plot. While i love the skins, I would rather see the new plushie landscape be used as a fair plot, with game sand rides built by the community.

how does one glitch the industrial bathtub to make a shower?

more tilt, everytime ive seen it, the shower head is almost angled into the wall its glitched into

might help to make a mock wall and line it up so you can see where the tub would stick out of the wall

as for pushing it into the wall... well, i hate doing that 😭 i always remove it bc i dont like having labyrinthine structures so the back of the tub structure will always stick out since i dont like using lots of buildings to close it in/using plants and stuff to cover it up.

im assuming that bc youve gotten this far that youve seen a tutorial or two, but i can look one up for that part that i saw a long time ago if you'd like 👍

here is one way: you don't need obstacle flick, only cancel placement. also it's easier to hide dessert plates, because those are so small. #shower

the floor is attached to a pillar and that floor is slightly coming through the actual floor of the courtyard

or then you just float the soil with anchor, that is another way

the soil needs to come from your inventory for obstacle flick to work

hey, i know im not involved, but i just wanted to say something. please dont feel bad! youre attempting to do smth that the game does not want you to do, it is not designed to be used this way so of course glitching isnt going to be intuitive or easy to explain/understand. i get frustrated and bummed out all the time bc i just dont seem to get it the way others do. but theyve been fiddling with this game for a looooong time. if i get frustrated, i just walk away or do smth else. glitching shouldn't be necessary, its not a problem with you, its a problem with the game! the reason ppl still stick around and keep trying is bc they still believe in the game to some degree. its ok to get frustrated, but dont feel bad!

Yes, the obviously incomplete furniture sets are super frustrating. The Ravenwood bookshelf in particular would be perfect for combining multiple bookshelves into one because of how square it is. You could easily make a whole wall of them.

You're right about devs rotating items and using items in a way that us players have to "glitch"

In fact, if I remember correctly, somewhere else in that house you'll see a Industrial nightstand combined and sunk into the top of an industrial sink to create a more unique furniture item. Much like the way that glitch artists will create unique furniture themselves via glitching.

It does at times feel like the devs are playing with a different set of rules. Players have to overcome this with glitches.

Yes, and of course!

Unfortunately you’re going to come across a lot of plots that are mostly glitched together to get desired effects and aesthetics that aren’t necessarily available in the standard modifications. There are simple glitches that basically anyone can do, and it evolves to more complexities like ghosting, flicking, sinking and floating, and item cancelling

Im not sure if you know this yet, so if you do feel free to ignore , but you can also have more than one harvest house on your plot so that is also an option to achieve a similar effect depending on your goal!

I tell people all the time, try to create a complete kitchen with one set that isn't the Capital Chic, or Farmhouse sets.

You can't.

You're either missing a realistic sink, or counter section, or both.

You could make an argument for the Bellflower set, but the sink realistically wouldn't function as a kitchen sink. It's a bathroom sink. And the only counter is the dresser, which is way too tall.

I wish they'd let us put up half a wallpaper, like in this concept art.

Try not to put them on builders floors at all. They could even land up going to another plot. You could try putting a rug on the builders floor and then the crafter on top of the rug. That could help. Updates seem to mess with the crafters too.

i am a bit late to this party but hello! i got crafting stations and what not to work on landscape pieces with no problem - other folks are right, the game wont really let you put them on builder's floors for whatever reason. i've found the easiest route to be w landscapes

if you have a trusted friend you can get creative and make them editor and drop landscape pieces down at the same time as your house/porch - with communication you can drop them at the same time and it could maybe even be semi hidden if done with small landscapes. you may need to search around for other options tho too. just wanted to add my experience as someone who also tried this!!

This one isn't a regular flow tree, but a quest reward But you'll get flow trees either way ||You have to complete the temple of roots's bundle to unlock the gardener's statue, it will gift you a random seed each IRL day and you have a small chance to loot a flow tree seed 👍 As for the one in my screenshot, you have to finish the temple and get the quest about the gardener's new oneness, complete it and it'll be your reward 🫶 ||

Thank you! The plot is and older one of mine, my factory plot. its in the process of some renovations. The crane is one of my favorite thingss, using the ship cannons for the wheels. Eventually there will be a small factory kicking out parts on conveyor belts leading to the airship. and the chappas will be loading it up for it next run!

The obstacle flick glitch could work, but only if you don't rotate the lights... Otherwise, you can anchor it to a paver with the obstacle flick method and bring it inside (that way you can rotate it)

at least to start on. then it becomes an anchor haven for many objects. lol

Also, the little round wood paver, well all of them really, are extra special. they have 4 little bonus sides on the edge of the paver. Set that baby on the edge of a industrial shelf, rotate, and behold how many things can be attached to it.

I do prefer it in blue tbh. I did use alabastor for my bathroom, but I managed to squeeze multiple accent objects in there. Plus, I scored the pieces that weren't all white-white. Many of them had tinges of pink too. I also used a black/Grey tiled floor, which did wonders

My 4 favorites have their rooms on the left, where my room is also located as well as the dining room and big kitchen.
There is also a bathroom. I probably make 2 living rooms and 1 work related room as well.

The rest of them get a room in the right wing with their own bathroom, living room and maybe a room for "guests"

there is a lot of stuff I wish was possible. Hallway segments with 4 connectors instead of 2.
Allowing us to build courtyards with just rooms that don't have a solid wall between last and first room.
Removing the limit of 15 rooms attached to one harvest house.
An option to have higher ceilings in the rooms and/or to add second floor to the rooms.
Being able to put wallpapers and flooring to the building blocks
Being able to build roofs like the houses and rooms have over constructions made with builder blocks...

I've found success placing it by moving my cursor to the furthest corner/side away from the other floors (bottom left in this case) to where the floor still snaps.

You have to use a builder wall that you rotate on the shelf, put down the rug and when you'll move the wall away it'll be a wall rug

so I like the idea of making rooms in my house dedicated to the characters im romancing, of course this means in Hodaris case I also made a room for Najuma cause I can't expect to make him a home and not include her, but I was wondering if anyone else did this and what furniture sets they would recommend for them
for Hodari I'm mainly using ranch and industrial set, Najuma I made the investigator bed because it seems to be the only single bed in the game
and reth I have set up with the lily rattan for now but I'm not sure

For Hodari Ranch is a common theme in his room, sadly the bed can't be made in that green color. So I used the Log Cabin Bed instead.

najuma i say dragontide or emberborn maybe, but that's only because she likes anything to do with fire/explosives and while emberborn has a very warm feel to its appearance like a flame, dragontide literally has dragon in the name, dragon = fire = explosive lol. i has a weird way of throwing things together sometimes, but this might could be a possibility. starred spitfire cicadas or firebreathing dragonflies could also be useful decor (also, i is sorry if i was rambling/looping same thing over and over, i tend to do that😅 )

also, for any veteran plot decorators, is there any way to somehow place things on any part of the roof for grand harvest house? i ask because i want to be able to have on my plot(s) a fun little visual of "oh my goodness, how did that plushie get allll the way up there?" when people visit. as an example, kinda a little like how the various treasure chests are hidden on top of things throughout palia. it could even be a nice little idea for say a scavenger hunt or obstacle course with plushies having a sign beside them like "congrats on hitting this checkpoint!"

When they're grown you can cover more ground visually by spacing them, but it's easy to have them close while watering to lessen how much water and item damage you need total. So water all together in a tiny space and place once full grown to get the spacing you want

That's the thing... She didn't add room upstairs, but when you ghost a room there's some kind of hidden part in the rooftop you can access Then she filled the rest with builders floors

I finally learned how to do the wallpaper to flooring glitch and let me tell you, if you use the Gypsum Flagstone Wall (as flooring) and pair it with the Furnace Parts Wallpaper, you get a nice looking room for a machine room (if you choose to have them inside like me)

Historically, just about every change that they have made to the building mechanics on the plot have been for the worse.

• removal of inventory flicking
• adding clipping to floated items
• instating clipping on items anchored to copper/iron building blocks
• several changes to building ghosting/layouts

The only building improvement I can think of was them adding more snap points to building blocks, but this has made building blocks relatively broken for the past 3 months.

They've actively made glitching harder over the years, and then they go and add glitched stuff to the promotional video. I'm just completely perplexed by it.

I've laid out a few things in the past on several occasions.

There's a number of things that I would like, but I do not think would be realistic. However, there are a few things that I would like that I do think would be:

• Allow players to toggle clipping on/off (this is already possible to an extent with glitching. Just let us do it normally already)
• Remove arbitrary placement restrictions (i.e. only allowing the placement of certain items outdoors, or not allowing things to be placed on top of others)
• Remove global item limits (Tree/buildings/crafters/etc shouldn't count towards item limits on plots that they are not on)
• Freely allowing the removal of walls from buildings
• Allowing the placement of buildings freely (without having to attach a room to a harvest house)

@dreamy thicket I don't know how realistic it would be, but I once had the idea of being able to combine smaller decorations like books or flowers together into one asset.

For example you want to make a row of books, so you buy 10 books and craft them together to make a row that is 1 new item.
Or you have a bookshelf empty and combine it with books to get an upgraded bookshelf that is filled like many NPC rooms have them.
That could also help lowering the number of singe decor items/assets on some plots

My "estate" plot with my big fancy house has almost zero outside decor or trees.
You just cannot have a big house with lots of detail with equally detailed landscaping.

So I have a separate plot that is almost entirely out door landscaping.

I also have so many plots, and so many buildings/crafters/trees that my "empty" plot has an item limit of ~900/3000

okay i got the floor in, but sadly wasn't able to make the overlapping flush with the railing. howeeeeever, i decided to go a little rustic/mismatched and took inspiration from the chapaa piles in kilima to use wood plank pavers and make them into small staircases/chapaa huts for two of my chapaa plushies, so i'm happy ❤️

I don't know much about glitching, but that shelf you need to add the bug to it, before you make it upside down

there is an easier way, if u can do cancelation placement all u need is to grab the shelf, place normally upside down, cancel into spot under normal side up just to put a bug on and done (lemme know if u need more details or pics)

Hi there! My IGN is Nohea'lanii. I've been working a plot lately that I wanted to be a "hotel". I just found out today that it isn't going to work the way I wanted it to. I wanted to place rooms off the long hallway. I've attached a picture of what it looks like right now. I just found out I can't place rooms to the north and south of the little hallways, only on the east or west of a hallway. Is there something I'm not doing right to be able to place a room to the north or south of a hallway section? If you can please tag me in your reply, it would be most helpful. Thank you so much!

you won't be able to do it that way sadly lizz, hallways can only do as you see above

the devs would need to make a + shape hallway room, which would have x4 snapping points
