I want to learn how to cook with another person. I tried joining a cake party but that was way too confusing. I manage to cook most things by myself, but that isn't translating to knowing how to cook in a party. I watched videos but they don't go into enough detail. One said, the number one rule is "do only one step", but didn't explain how to recognize the step and do it. Pictures appear, but it isn't clear to me what the pictures mean. Is there any source which breaks all this down in more detail?

if you do a FULL party, then you are typically signing up for a single step before hand, everyone is clear on and told what their one job is
sometimes it's to mix a single sweetleaf
sometimes it's to put a single cake part in the oven and take it out
etc etc

it's just do one task, this is what your task is, do that task and wait then do it again
and you repeat doing that for like an hour lol

but if you are just doing a group of friends, you can wing a recipe pretty easily if it's not a super complicated one like muujin bahari

if just a group of friends or like one or two other people, you would just do whatever looks like it still needs done

but if you want a quicker system to repeatedly make something then youd communicate and assign the tasks someone is doing beforehand

just so you dont accidentally make too much and waste ingredients

The part I don't understand is how to know when to do the task and how to make sure I do just one - especially when they are making 50 cakes I have to do "just one" 50 times, but the timing is a mystery to me.

you recieve the food in your inventory when completed

so thats a good sign you need to do it again shortly after

depends on your task. if you are an oven, you can sit with the oven menu open, and when it says "ready to craft" you do the task. like sen said, you receive the food once one round is over, and then you just wait for it to say "ready to craft" again

so you should not be starting anything. once the starter starts the recipe, you should only see one option at the oven. its called cake layer or something like that. if you see all the recipes that means the starter has not started it yet so you should wait

So I'm feeling a little lost on what the new Palium etiquette should be? I've been getting a little frustrated when sometimes people call out the pal, break it down, maybe even send a flare. But since the timer is only like, 3 minutes, it's been a lot harder to actually get anything before time runs out? Is this an issue others have been having? Another instance that just happened, is when someone called one out, I got a tap in, and someone else came in and broke the rest of it down. So the caller couldn't even decide when timer would start. Hope I'm making sense.

I don't go pal mining much now since I'm fairly caught up in the gameplay. But I guess I'm just looking for a clear answer about what to do when I do come across pal? I still wait for people to come before breaking the whole thing. My thought would be, call it and give a time it will be broken. Otherwise if the timer could eventually be upped to maybe 5 minutes it might give ppl more of a chance to get in? halp 🥺 (pls feel free to ping with a reply <3)

I announce it and flare it before I destroy it, but I find that most people flare without mentioning it. I feel like it's one of those things where you either have to be in the north or south exclusively to find these flares or have the palium spawns be near a fast travel and be willing to pay for fast travel. I come across a lot when I'm just catching bugs or fishing more than I do when I'm actively mining, but that may be confirmation bias since I'm not actively searching for said thing so I tend to notice it more otherwise.

If you hover the button to invite what does it say? In order to be on the same server you'll need to be in the same area, but I think once he talks to Auni and leaves his plot he should be fine to join parties and other servers assuming he's in the same area and not already on the same server.

Ahhh, yeah housing plots are different. You can be on the same server but have to use the board to join them. You can also change who can visit with the H menu (nobody, friends, and everyone). Have fun.

So is anyone else having issues when cooking in the game?
I use my controller it's fully charged and connection is fine soon as I click to select the crab pot pie the controller stops working except for the camera mode. I can look around but I can't move at all, not with the controller or the keyboard buttons. I can bring up the chat box and do the /unstuck but if I go back to try to finish the food it happens again immediately and then the food is ruined

you can either open and close the home plot view menu, or type "/unstuck"

1. its a starstone, starstones have a chance to drop while mining, their only use atm is gifting it to villagers or selling (star quality ones can be placed)
2. depends on the bug, mainly yeah no need to hold onto them, they can be gifted as well and some bugs are required for the vaults
3. would just use them for focus, or display them as decoration
4. yeah, the tree size determines if u can chop it, so u can chop smaller flowtrees with a copper, and all with a fine axe, 2 players at least are required tho bcs they regenerate their health

its actually the same code with PC, because I realized I could do the same thing as switch players do if I use a controller

so the code for friends only plot is the same, it can be bypassed with a controller whether on PC or on switch

but since switch does not have a mouse option, its pure controller, which is why people think its a switch only issue...except you can still do this on PC with a controller, so its actually not a switch-only issue

Hi guys. So, I don't recall this being an issue months ago when i put my house together like this, im pretty sure it just started the patch before last....but every time i log in, the top wallpaper of the room on the right (yellow circle) resets to be the same wallpaper as the part of the wall below it, instead of staying different like the room on the left (white circle)

any ideas on why/has this happened to you/is there an easy fix?

I thought about trying to just completely remove the room and replace it to see if that fixes it but would really like to avoid that if possible as I have things decorated in/around it that would also have to be moved/would be in the way when trying to re-place the room

They spawn any time, but they're a bit rarer than ginger. They're also a bit harder to see because they're green in a sea of grass. Look for a glow forageable effect on the floor. If you have trouble finding any, switch servers and try on a new server in case

You know you're in the right spawn area if you see the ginger, they spawn together in the same area

Also due to how difficult it is to see them, they're a lot easier to see at night because of the glow effect, so try night foraging as well

I personally don't use it so I can't guarantee how well it works. ||Make sure your backpack is full of items before picking up the rummage pile, if its a regular item it won't be picked up. close and reopen the game and enter a new server to try again||

u performed a glitch that is commonly used by some players actually
to merge rooms etc. having more creativity to create builds
iirc u need to pick up a building switch plots while holding it and can have it on other plots, called ghost rooms, I think

How do I fill my Accessories (Fishing Attachment, Bobber and Romance Pins)?

You can get fishing attachments by purchasing the recipes from Einar or by being granted them from some villager's quests. These items degrade, so the spot will change.
Bobbers are purchasable from Einar once you reach fishing 10, or you can get one ||from the fire fishing bundle||.
Romance Pins are obtained from reaching romance 3 with any of the romance-able villagers. There's one for each villager, so you can collect them all.

If you don't have a fishing attachment equipped, when you remove one from storage it will automatically equip.

I have run all over Kilima and Bahari looking for Chappa Piles/Rummage Piles. I have found none my own. The only way I have found any is if I follow someone to it and that has only happened twice. Even being told the area the pile is in (i.e. Hideaway Bluffs- On the cliffs near the cave). What am I doing wrong?

Guys, what kind of foods do you use when you're out and about? I'm level 133 and counting, got 1000 max focus. So far I've used Sernuk noodle stew as my main food because it's easy to make and takes few ingredients. What's your favorites? 😄

In the Glow Worm Farm, what determines if the machine makes glow worms or harvestboost fertilizer?

it will always produce glowworms AND fertilizer only thing that changes with the input is the amount of glowworms and type of fert,
sweet things will produce speedy gro, everything else harvest boost fert

yeah there aren't any proper ways in the game atm. the people in #🏡│decor have a lot of tricks though. for example some use rugs (often the bellflower one), more recently there's a lot of people using the new chopping blocks. and some people glitch tables into the ground.

It's a bug right now you can't keep them out. But you can throw them out of your plot by going to a different plot then your home plot.

You have multiple home plots when you change it evicts everyone wanted and unwanted guests

Maybe if it happens enough time they'll get the message

To add on, these people already know your plot is locked, but they entered anyway. When I bypassed the lock with my controller and could select locked plots, the plots still had the locked icon on them 😔 they should've known better than to enter a house with a lock icon

I'm sorry that this seems to be a common occurrence: with people visiting random plots that are locked to Friends Only

Does their cooking in your kitchen also use the owner's ingredients?
Or is it just the invasion of privacy on your lot?

I personally have my plot locked to Private, so I've not seen anyone else there besides NPCs
