I tried that island. I have tried there on and off. I repeatedly drown there when trying to leave so I’m not fond of going there. 😂

I don’t understand how they are a cozy game. Between fishing and the entire wind tower I am stressed.

This is so true. Usually fishing isn’t that hard in these games. But I find it stressful unless I’m fishing with no bait. Those are much easier to catch. I seem to be terrible at fishing. I have tried the food and brew as well as the rod attachments.

a grove spawns every midnight in game time in bahari, if you stand around central stables you’ll hear it spawn like a loud whooshing noise in the direction of it, then run there and usually theres around 4-10 flow trees

theres a big pink mist above it too but the visibility of it depends on your graphics settings

So I'll probably get a bunch of flack for this but..... I get this game is supposed to be sharing is caring..... But some people who play only have a small amount of time irl to play so waiting 3 in game hours to chip a grove or wait on people to come from across the map for pal is alot out of the small bit of time those people might get to play.... And the people getting mad and toxic over those who don't have the time to wait and share are making servers insanely toxic.... Is there a way for the Devs to help these people..... (kindness reminder a lot of neurodivergent people play video games and find big groups overwhelming so struggle to obtain ft or pal at all cause of the toxic have to share or get yelled at in a server)

Imo mining it yourself is fine 😊 one thing I don't think is okay is if someone's called out a pal or ft and then someone comes and mines that all by themselves when people are waiting for other people. But apart from that, I think it's fine to mine it yourself and not call it out 😊

Groves and palium are different. Even if you know your way around bahari really well and are careful you won't always be first at a grove. So the best strategy for everyone overall is to call for it on server chat and wait a bit. People getting annoyed when the grove is chopped before being called doesn't make them toxic. Now that depends on how they express their annoyance obviously.

The thing about it, is the game developers are the ones that really pushed the sharing I believe. And it’s because those things specifically are rare. (But I noticed recently that depending on how many people are on a server, more or less will be available.)

Trees you can’t cut yourself anyway unless they are smol tho.

Encouraging sharing is great but no one should be arguing over it point blank period honestly. It’s not so rare at least currently, and respawn rates are great. So if you simply mine it, or at least don’t wait several in game hours for people to slowly make their way across the map, theres truly plenty of pal for everyone.

There's been reported issues yes. Just in case (because I didn't know how to use the frying pan), you have to hold down your mouse/A button and release when the circle is in the center of the reticle. If that's exactly what you're doing and it's not working, it's the bug

I know there's been something weird with the two, that the blue one when placed looks green and the green when placed look blue (but yeah likely not related, looks like a bug to me if you got both starred to show). Try to move both to you inventory to see if something updates, but yeah strange.

Also people shout out flow trees, which usually gets abbreviated to FT. Any time a tree spawns is has a chance to become a flow tree, so if you cut down a lot you'll get some. They made the spawn chance lower when they added the groves. Because of that and the fact that groves give so much people don't really do clear cutting parties so much anymore, but you can could try to start one in #1143270926394335282

If you right click it will go into the housing inventory too, so you can remove it with no penalty or use that to build more housing than you have room for for future use.

All spots are relatively the same, the best way is to fish next to another player because it increases bite rate by 50% which increases the amount of fish you get during your fishing time

Yes, this configuration is possible because the large rooms are left and right of the harvest house.

You can actually put a room back into your inventory after building it. I would temporarily stick them somewhere to let it build, and then pack it in until I know where I want to put it.

Easier to visualise if you already have the complete pieces.

There's only 2 types of fences currently (log and emberborn), and one floor tile that people use as a path stone (Ravenwood Floor Decor). Outside of that, people improvise with other furniture pieces.

Ohhh. That could be the stone fence and wooden fence, which were released by accident with the Winterlight update. If we used the recipe, we got to keep it. If not, it was removed with a patch.

you can try looking in #🏡│decor as well. they have a lot of tricks for improvising paths. i have also seen people there glitch furniture into the ground to act as paths.

Hi, I have a question if anyone is able to confirm it for me?
It was my understanding that the Heartdrop lillies can be given to a romancable character at lvl 3 friendship to start a dating the same way chocolate can, however when I gave Einar this flower, nothing happened. He did still accept it (even though it's not one of his weekly gifts) and he commented on how pretty it was, but the bar for his romance didn't change for me.

Do the Heartdrop lillies not actually start romances?

I believe its friendship lvl 4, and you have to have finished the friendship quest. I dont know what the romance gifts are, but weekly wants are gifts that you can find out through talking to npc's. however, npc have other gifts they like besides the weekly wants, which you can find on the npc's respective pages on the wiki (https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Palia_Wiki). so most likely heartdrop lily is a gift einar likes

I mentioned earlier that it was part of an accidental release during the Winterlight update. If you crafted the recipe when it showed up, you get to keep it. If you didn't or didn't craft enough, the recipe disappeared during the next patch. Also affected were the little wooden fence edge and a string of lights on posts.

I am a small streamer, and I really love playing Palia. I have always been excited to invite my friends to play and they've come to join me... I was happy and it was a lot of fun. Then however, for the last 3 months, all of the friends I invited haven't been able to join me in a game since the Asia Pacific Servers were introduced. Many of my friends had trouble joining and some haven't been able to join at all.

First and foremost its a violation of the Steam Subscriber agreement to use a VPN: https://store.steampowered.com/subscriber_agreement/#3. Also, the requirement of using a systemwide VPN may cause many other sites could deem your logins as fraudulent. This is at the very least problematic.

What i would like to know is if there is a concerted effort to fix this issue going forward (@ivory jungle , @wise veldt ). So far I have seen no acknowledgement from developers that it is a problem and if or when it will even be addressed. I do love this game very much. However, the lack of attention and visibility that has been given to this very serious issue has made me reconsider whether or not this is a game I really want to invest myself into for the long term. I believe the developers care in regard to the user experience early on says quite a lot about where the game has the potential to go in the long term.

A buzzy jar shows you where exactly the rare bugs are. If someone else on your server is chasing the same bugs, then one of us is going to get there and find nothing. Has happened to me a lot the last 2 days.

Likely not much help to you.. but i really wouldnt worry about the steam VPN rule.. its never ever enforced at all.. 99% of users on steam who play GTA Online, Rust, and Dead By Daylight all use a VPN.. key reason being that all 3 communities are unholy levels of toxic and they WILL attack you and DDOS/DOX... and the servers on all 3 games are far from secure or safe to connect to.

Iron is everywhere, not particularly in the mines. There is 25 people max per server and the map is big. Just explore a bit and you'll find plenty of iron even if everyone is also mining it.

yup they are very very very rare, especially the rarer ones, e.g. garnet and quartz are more common than other starstones therefore u are more likely to get them in star quality bcs they drop more often

Hit every rock you see. I find the garnet most often. There are a few I haven’t found. But I get at least one starred every time I go mining.

Some avoid the plain stone in Bahari which is a mistake. They drop gems and even starred ones too. I get at least 5000 in coins from gems from making a run through Bahari. Sometimes I get lucky and get more than one of the higher price gems. But usually I get a couple of starred gems.

Some of the trackers are better than others. The tuning fork leads you to bubbles. But it’s easy to find those. The hunter’s horn works well. The buzzy jar I find is on and off. It would be better if it tracked rare, epic and uncommon. I used one yesterday, in Bahari and it only found me 10 bugs overall. Which is okay. But a bit costly. Honey lure seems a waste considering how much cost there is in making one. It seems to mostly attract the regular bugs and rarely the ones everyone is looking for.

It’s not that icky. They will give you lots of worms. Just feed them something you have a lot of. The glow worm farm I find harder to get a lot of worms from. Eventually you will have so many you can sell them. Or gift them to players requesting them.

Bahari Bay. It spawns in the same nodes that can have iron, but it will have blue chunks sticking out instead of black ones.

it means that any time you do something that earns xp, you gain an extra 80% xp and lose that much focus. So if you did something that gained 20xp, you would get a bonus 16xp and lose 16 focus. If you did something that gained 100 xp you'd gain a bonus 80xp and lose 80 focus

Having focus will help you level faster, so it's worth having. Forage/mine/catch/log everything to sell.

Any time you do something that gains xp, you gain bonus xp that uses up focus. Like Tarlia says, levelling faster is good because it gets you to better tools and more recipes faster, but nothing -bad- happens if you don't have focus, you just fail to get the bonus xp.

Not a very easy solution, but if you set up a Palia account when you started on Switch, you can install it on a PC and log in using the same Palia account and do it on the computer.

That's what we ended up doing for my partner for the air temple. He plays on switch but couldn't do it, so we did it on the computer.

So the way fishing in Palia used to work is that you could hook a fish but not reel it in and cycle through the available fish in that area until you got the one you wanted, without wasting bait. fish value is based on which bait it's caught with (glow worm being best), its rarity (which is random) and whether it's star quality or not (star quality fish only come from the bubble spots). location doesn't really matter outside of that, apart from choosing somewhere with a higher concentration of bubble spots i guess

it's certainly not a bad place, the bubble spots are very close together so you can reach them without moving and it seems to be a fairly common place to fish so it's potentially easier to get the fishing buff than many other places

Anyone else do chappa chase on the switch finish and in the results screen and then Not able to press b or any button to get out of it? I pressed b 10 times and it wasn't working so gave up and quit. Reloaded and couldn't get in. Reloaded again and the game put me back in the hotpot area I was in before and I don't think I got my chappa chase awards. Whatever I think I will quit chappa chase anyways since hotpot game awards a lot more. This was on switch it was working on the computer. Odd.

it ends the 26th, i think you can get everything done stamp card wise, but maybe not the 9 wishes as it’s every irl day you get a paper in mail for it (unless you had some from earlier but doesn’t hurt to try) the tickets i’d recommend playing hot pot , if you can play with other players too that helps as tickets are shared around the table chappa chase is ok on tickets but not as much as hot pot so if so just for the chappa card to be done, there is the market quest too if you haven’t gotten done yet

Hallways can connect any other room, or be a tiny room by itself. Harvest houses give you the ability to start separate set of buildings on your plot. It's possible to give the illusion that they are connected, but they don't connect.

There's also no reason you need to connect harvest houses. If it's doors you're looking for, you can buy doors and porches.

Never said I wanted rooms "on their own". Imagine 2 T's. Each T is a harvest house with each one large room as right and left branch of T. I want to connect the two T's via their own rooms with a hallway in the middle. Like so : T°T

sry for late reply, #📢│palia-news message is a guide incase i miss anything but the wishes you get from ingame mail, you bring them to the market at the big tree and there’s a painting stand, dye it what color you want (orange =gold, pink=reknown, and blue is tickets, then bring to the shrine by the tree and pick up at the mail box on the left of that shrine when it is done (every palia day), also note the food is different from last market and some items so you can check them out, zekis teriyaki and the hotpot’s from reth you can’t get started so don’t waste tickets on them, but you get the hot pots for displaying from playing the hot pot game stamp card (careful not to eat it).

to get coins for zekis wheel you gotta spend 2k tickets and you get one coin (also get a coin from finishing the market quest and a decoration item too)

Cross region syncing is broken right now. If you are on PC you can use a VPN to connect from somewhere in the same region as your friend and then sync servers.

a couple of characters don't like if you're dating certain others although it's just dialogue, there's no consequences. in hassian's case, at least from what i experienced - ||he actually doesn't mind you dating tamala although he seems worried she'll hurt you.|| i do seem to remember him saying something expressing ||disappointment if you're wearing another character's pin in general though (something like "i should have realized i'm not the only one" or similar||

its mostly 1-2 glowworms, the most is starred celeb cakes with 4, just put something easy to get in them (like mountain morels which u can buy at the general store) and let a few farms run overnight
