Yeah the switch is just not able to keep up with this game imo, it's bittersweet because I never would have found the game without it being on Nintendo but it's really a struggle. If you have a laptop you might be able to "upgrade" to playing through GeForce Now online which is an app you can play higher draw/heavier games on lower quality laptops. That's what I do!

well, step one is for your friend to actually play the game (obviously)

step 2 is sending a friend request. Enables you to see when they're online (but not how long ago, just that they are or arent)
It also allows you to server sync/server invite or party invite a lot easier

Not sure who to talk to about this BUT here I go, I was playing the game and working on the quest "The King's Voice" basically asking the villagers "Do you know who Mudan is?" I was at Mirror Pond and started talking to Hekla and I was in the middle of the dialogue and she and Jina disappear. I didn't finish it. So I went to town and they were at the book store/ library and I go to talk to Hekla again and she finished but it didnt take the "?" away from above her head, insinuating that the talk was over and I could move on with the quest... Press F again to talk to her and its the same thing, nothing changed. What do I do? I made a Support ticket on the website. I think it glitched me and Hekla went they disappeared. Any help or advice will be appreciate it ❤️ 🙂

Second: Where there is a grove or a big flow tree, people call it our and then gather there and wait until 3 am or pm before chopping it down

Groves spawn once every real hour (in other words, once per ingame day), but never beyond two active groves on the map at a time. Random flow trees in the wild is sporadic, don't think anyone knows.

It's a somewhat controversial topic these last few months. Flow trees used to be much more scarce. And the 3 AM thing isn't a rule, it is something players came up with. It's a nice etiquette thing, allows more people to benefit from the grove, but to be honest, groves spawn once an hour... it's not that scarce a resource anymore. Most people follow the etiquette still, but if someone doesn't do that it tends not to be the end of the world. Some people just get really angry about people either not being aware of or not following some rules that players have decided on.

There's cases to be made for that too; even if they disregard they are not breaking the rules. Or they could be playing with "Streamer (Chat off)" and chat bubbles turned off. Or they might not know English.

Honestly, S6 could solve this if they wanted. If it's to be an expected rule, then they should put things in place. So long as players make "rules" then it just gets bad real quick.

And people have the option to block other people to reduce the chances of ending up on the same servers.

At the end of the day, it's a matter of players getting angry at other players for not playing the game the way they want it to be played. Again, it's a nice etiquette (and I still follow it the few times I do groves), but those who don't follow it are still playing the games within the rules.

Again, if S6 wanted they could put in place a solution. I'm sure there are many ways to go about that (probably better ways than this suggestion), but they could just make groves still spawn at 12 AM, but trees be invincible until 3 AM. There we go, no one can chop tree early. 😄

But jokes aside, it keeps contradicting itself and feels like it can't make up its own mind about what it wants to say. It sucks that someone got driven off because of players with a short fuse, and the game certainly doesn't need more players being driven off. They lose enough players as-is.

But as I've said before, I think it's a silly thing. It's a "we think everyone should play the game like we want to, therefore we'll go ham on those who don't play like us" mentality imo. I honestly feel like this is a thing for S6 to fix, not the players. They want it to be a mechanic? Make it an actual game mechanic. They don't want it to be a mechanic? Crack down on the aggressiveness coming from people who want to force rules on others. S6 decides what kind of community they want to foster, and their actions or inactions lead to that. But that requires effort on S6's part, which is something that only happens once every leap year.

3am began as a courtesy time to allow new players time to travel/walk/run accross the map once it was found and called out.
Many of those players weren't familiar with the area yet and there were no coordinates for the longest time on the map in game and most don't have money to fast travel often.
And sometimes the grove isn't always found right at midnight, sometimes it's not called out/found until 1am or even later, so that's kinda where the time frame came into play so all had time to arrive and tap the trees to get the loot.

The groves were introduced due to feedback from players about the availability of flow wood in game. We use to have to deforest the place and force spawn flow trees and this was what they came up with as a solution to that feedback while also adding another opportunity for more cooperative content in the game. https://palia.com/news/patch-173

Also, most of the players who don't know the area, don't know grove mechanics or don't have 25 gold for fast travel also probably don't have an axe that is upgraded enough to be able to damage flow trees

Yeah they have changed the spawn rates of the trees since then, but it was still added in as another opportunity for more cooperative content in the game due to player feedback asking for more things to do together in game. And a lot of players come to Bahari Bay close to midnight just for the grove, esp when weeklys reset.

since everyone has every animal and every tree and ore node available even when it dies/gets mined on someone elses screen, but when they're mined as a group everyone gets the same rewards and it drops at the same time, they probably just hit it once so that when someone else cut it down they would get the drop rewards too and could come back to it (I literally didnt realize this until I saw it explained in a welcome to palia reddit post even though I knew abt the mechanic XD)
