another tip for companion planting if you use rice for your harvest boost bonus, wheat does does the same thing and sells for 9 gold more per wheat compared to rice, and it lasts for 1 day longer for growth cycle so less time replanting crops for your apple cycles

so trees go through 4 stages, you can stop watering them to keep that any one of the 4 stages that you want. each stage is a different height, so water and dont water depending on how high you want them based on the 4 stages.

note: you will get another tree seed of the same type tree only when they reach max maturity stage 4 of their cycle. so if you dont mind farming more seeds you can keep them small

instead of usine weird buildings or fences i wanted natural wall. so i decided with trees, and i wanted my shrine to be fiery based, so orange trees with torches was a great concept. to make the wall i needed different height of trees.

not to say i experimented by planting 1 of every tree type, 4 different times, keeping them at all 4 different stages to see which one i liked the best first lol. so at one point i had 25 trees, all at different heights to gauge the growing cycle

it's good, but cabbage isn't used hardly ever in any main recipes. so you wont get much use of them. same with the carrots.

the most common used ingredients are as follows:
tomatoes
potatoes
wheat
rice
corn
apples

that's why i enterchange wheat and rice or if you want a full party ready cooking garden all times plant half rice/half wheat.

I’ll have to show you because there are people with lots of farming plots on their lot

each plant gives a buff, it's in the description of the seed packet. the buff gets applied in a sense directly north/south, and east/west. you cannot plant the same plant everywhere because you only get the buff from the plant on one square. so in a sense you cant get the same buff twice from the same plant.

Moreover, some plants occupy more space, meaning they need more copies of the buff to apply it.

I have my farm spots in like a square. Keeping the darn spicy peppers separately since they take up 4 little squares within a plot. So, have to re-do. I have like unlimited thing of tomatoes going. Weirdly. Like after I harvest plants the soil resets, but my tomatoes just stay. 🤷🏻‍♀️.

a 1 square plant like potatoes only need to be touched by 1 side of the buff plant, while apples takes a 3x3 square needs to be touched 3 times by the same buff to get the buff.

tomatoes are a multi harvest plant. you will get multiple harvests from the same tomatoe vine for about 3-4 harvest if i'm not mistaken

Anything rude can be deemed reportable. Some are very report happy in this game for anything even remotely negative

so there are some things to consider about chopping the grove.

1. chopping at 3 is a courtesy, and it was an unwritten rule in the past that whoever finds the grove dictates the time of chop. whether it be at 1,2,2:30, or 3.
2. the RTB (rainbow tipped-butterfly) spawns at 3am game time, this being said the best chances are to clear out the bugs at 2-3am, to increase spawn locations for the RTB
3. the players could be new, and has yet to adopt the unwritten COURTESIES of the game. but again everything in the game is a courtesy, that goes with calling out rare nodes, flares, calling grid coordinates, calling out magical animals, and yes the grove.

If you wait for the chest or fish to disappear/sink then you can pull your reel back in without consuming bait.

This is a common tactic with people looking for specific rare fish as to only use 1 bait in 500+ casts

However if you leave the fish/chest on I believe it will always come back until you reel in to cycle to a different fish.

requests are sooo hit or miss, I finally unlocked the blueberry pie recipe after a few days of grinding cooking and I requested it so I would be able to request a blueberry, but nobody fulfilled it this time
meanwhile my requests for (imo) more valuable items like a pallium bar and silk have both been fulfilled
I'll just have to try again with the pie later :p I'm excited to finally get this blueberry 😭

I played Palia a year or so ago but I only ever did like 5 minutes of it and up to the point where you got a tent for your plot. I hated the top down editor and I thought that was the main way to design the map so it turned me away. Thankfully I was wrong when I returned lol

so in order to get the boosts for apple trees you need 3 of the same type of booster for each side, so for water i would do tomato, potato, tomato on one side for it to water the apple tree.

As a switch player who doesn’t have the option to play pc, I can already tell you it runs horribly and has so many bugs. If you can play on pc I’d recommend that.
